    I was able to drop off my pick up, go to a movie and when the movie was finished, my pickup was. As for the product itself;. The compustart, I feel, is one of the best on the market. I got it for a great price from Best Buy and it continues to work well, 1 month later, anyway.

    This product will be a very good price online. You will have trouble scheduling an appointment and when you get there they will tell you they can't install the system you purchased on line and don't know why they are selling them and want to upgrade to another system and charge you more money. I have now purchased 3 of these systems and it has been a night mare. I think the product is ok, it's the Best Buy Stores and management that is the problem.

    Bought as a package deal with installation and was told they would not put the remote starter in my car even though it says universal and lists my make and model on the box. I even called the company that makes the remote starter and they said it should go in no problem and they considered Best Buy a certified installer. Installation techs were extremely rude and told me it was too difficult to work on my model of car and would not accept my appointment. Huge waste of time don’t even bother go to a legit installer of remote starters

    So bought a complete unit plus installation all inclusive. Finally got an appointment a couple of week later and found that it's gonna cost more! Come on, it's suppose to be all inclusive? So I decided to return the unit. That's another sagar to be read in my other review. In brief, by the time you get the appointment and decide to return the item, it is outside their 15 day return policy! The guy who met me at the installation area is nice. However, he just seem like an paid personel with no passion or interest in doing his job. In it for the hour. Therefore no interest in doing what is right for the business. I have hate to say that about anyone but it is what it is.

    With winter approaching I just had the Geek Squad install a remote car starter. Most professional people I have ever dealt with. Excellent installation and customer interaction!

    This is the second remote start I've had installed by Best Buy. Hassle free appointment setting, and performed on time. I also recommended it to my son who had one installed.

    Had to wait two weeks after I got remote start when got there they said 2 hours waited almost 4 an they never text to say it was ready WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN,this is the Valparaiso store

    i am using Geek Squad for so many production but never had such a terrible experience. i have purchased this plan to remote start my car but my car lease had cancelled my Car modification request so i called Bestbuy toll free number to cancel my order but they forward my call to Geek Squad, and then Geek Squad forwarded to BestBuy online as they do not look after online purchase they keep on transferring to each other. but no one is ready to talk to each other such a harassing experience i have lost the hope to get any refund. i cant belive i was on call for 4 hour but still not able to cancel the order.

    A Bitter Experience at GeekSquad

    I have spent two days and almost 8 hours at store awaiting installation of the Remote Car Start (which I bought from Best Buy online and hence scheduled installation at this store). I got pushed back on first day saying they don't have time and need to reschedule. On 2nd day, they kept my car for 7-8 hrs and finally came back saying they could not install it (by that time they messed up with my car inernal wiring, starter, etc. ). They wasted my full working day and upon reporting to their store manager on my experience, I have not got any fruitful help till now.

    Issues with remote start setting off alarm

    Worked fine for a week, but now the alarm will go off when car starter is triggered. Also the doors won't open or trunk when car starter is engaged, major issue with minivan and kids.

    It was going to take over two months to install this remote start, which ONLY works by opening and using the APP, which has a monthly fee. There is NO key fob with this remote start and Best buy wouldn't disclose how much the monthly fee would be. Horrible Customer Service on the phone and the installation guys were blatantly rude and slow as malassass no wonder it was going to take almost 3 months to get it installed. The packaging said 3 1/2 hour install, but the guys at Best buy said 5 hours minimum.

    The technician in New Hartford, NY is awesome. Talk to him if you get a chance. He will put you on the right path considering your specific application, needs and budget. He has a lot of experience and loves his job.

    Gabe & crew are a class act. From the moment I drove up, Gabe was attentive and helpful. The installation was done when promised. The Geek Squad is definitely the real deal here at this Best Buy location.

    I thought I was getting a good deal. However, my remote only works when it wants too. Even when I am well with in range my car will not start!

There are a number of factors that could affect the functional range of your remote, like obstructions or if it’s in a garage.     This is my 3rd Remote starter, I have to get one on all my new vehicles. Best Buy is the best if your vehicle does not come with a remote starter.

    I've used geek squad before to install other things in my car and never had a problem. If I did it was minor and was fixed right away. I love geek squad services and will continue to use them.

    Canceled appointments

    This was a gift for my boyfriend, we had an appointment in Norwalk CT for weeks, they canceled an hour before our appointment then scrambling around I was lucky enough to make another appointment in Yonkers NY that guy canceled as we were on our way driving there. Now we can’t get an appointment for a long time. Winter will be over...

Unless there were unexpected extenuating circumstances, we wouldn't typically expect for you to run into the last-minute cancellations that you have been experiencing.     I had an appointment at soquel, when I went they told me they did not do installations and made an appointment at Gilroy. The same day of my appointment they called me to say they are not certified to do installations and made me an appointment at Salinas that same day. I went and the employee who installs was really rude and said he didn’t have time to install it and had to re-schedule. Terrible, terrible service.
