Geek squad install

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn't resort to this review if I hadn't already lost countless hours of my life to an endless loop of well intentioned (for the most part) but hopeless Best Buy reps transferring me from department to department and with repeated visits to the "transfer line". When I spoke with "the transfer line" their reason for existence was to was transfer me to another department that couldn't help. The local store won't return my calls. This whole episode would be a funny Monty Python skit except that I am the brunt of the joke and there is no resolution in sight: "Unfortunately you have been transferred to the 'transfer line', we can't help you let me transfer you to the 'transfer line'." As I type this I am on hold for an hour and going to bail on the call - and bail on Best Buy as a customer for life. "Primary Support" provided no support. Multiple weeks, multiple, calls, endless loop of no one knows what department does what. Very sad.

Completely disappointed

Just received the product and told to contact my local Best Buy to schedule the install. Come to find out the local Best Buy has not been doing installs since October. I'd have to travel 80 miles for an initial consult which is 2 weeks out, and then they will schedule the actual install. Now I have spent the better part of an hour on hold attempting to speak with someone to return this. Waste of time and effort. I am done with BB forever

Installed and works But ran wires outside of Door

Tech was very knowledgeable and all was good until I opened the drivers door and he had ran 2 wires on the outside of the door jam. He said he did not want to have to drill a hole to get the 2 wires inside the cab from the engine bay. I have called the store back and they say they will have it done again. The wires were the tach wire and hood pin wire.

Compustar remote starter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Compustar CS4102 kit I purchased on sale and installed by Luis of Salem NH. Luis answered all my questions ! It was installed in 2 1/2 hours . All the wires are wrapped and zip tired for a very professional look ! No additional charges. Everything works as its supposed to. Great Price for 2 way remote! I would differently recommend Luis and the Salem store!!

How do they get 4.5 stars???
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the remote starter in Nov and finally found an open slot open in Jan and to find on the date I show up at the store I wasn't on the list. The reason because someone quit and they decided to bump me off without even letting me know. The other time also a remote starter installation on a different car and the installer has no clue what to do with the tach wire so my car couldn't start in cold days, bought it back 2 times and they insist installation is correctly done even though I told them the manufacture tech support mention about the tach wire. The 3rd time I had to tow the car to them. I don't know how this place get 4 or 5 stars to be honest??? must be employees writing them. Am I compensate for both time? NO, and they don't give a rat. Keep it up Best Buy you're doing a great job, soon you will be joining the other struggling mortar.

The Starter with Installation was on a huge discount ($257+ Tax). Randy from the North Frisco location installed the same in the number of hours he had promised. At the end he gave a nice demo and explained how it works. You also get a lifetime warranty on installation. It's a no brainer to use geek squad.

Horrible installation and support

First week wire came loose and wouldn’t work, had to self trouble shoot because no one at Downergrove Best Buy would answer my calls or email. 2nd time within 2 months of install it will not work again and again no one to help with my issue in a timely manner. I can have someone look at it in a month. Horrible experience won’t recommend Best Buy to anyone in the future.

Car starter viper

The last one I had installed in the spring I have had it back twice for repair. It stopped working again 6 weeks ago.. the technition said he would have to replace the part next time. I've called numerous times, spoke with someone who said they would be in touch with me. As of yet no one has called. Anyone got any suggestions???

Doesn't cover full install

No problem, but they also wanted to charge me an extra $39.99 per relay for install on top of this standard installation. That was an added $117 with tax not stated until I paid the original price and show up for install.
