So happy it fit because when I asked the question indicating my model number the rep’s answer was very confusing and/or misleading. She said that according to my model I need the MWFP filter. I bought this one anyways. I think they are the same both interchangeable.

Its a great Great filter. Water tastes way better.

We believe in filtered water and drink it ALOT! However, this brand is the only kind we can use for our fridge and is hard to find. It's never stocked in the shelves! We are lucky to get one! We usually have to "stock up" forcing us to have to buy the last two on the shelf because they are hard to find. Every time we go in to check, there is a small space on the shelf as if the store only carries a total of 2-4. The price is insane. To bad there isn't a universal or generic one, otherwise, I'm sure if buy it! And they don't last 6 months! We find ours to last about very 4, stretch it out to every 9 months and we have a filter system on our main. We tested our water. And found the alkaline balance is off. We invested in the zero water handheld system and found no traces of alkaline. If GE could produce these results, I'd pay the price of 35.99+tax! But as for now, we use our zero more than we do our fridge! And it lasts ALOT LONGER!!

I was so glad to find that Best Buy had this replacement filter for our refrigerator water dispenser in stock. I was afraid since it's an older model they wouldn't have it but it was easily found and we're back to Great drinking water again.

this is a great brand and so much better than the generic brand like the old saying you get what you pay for and why not spend a few dollars more and get a quality filter like this one rather than the cheap brands

I highly recommend this GE filter. My water and ice are always clear and great tasting. There is no comparison between the GE vs a generic filter. It is worth spending the extra cost for this high quality filter.

I'm glad I'd bought the replacement water filter from BB for my GE - 22.5 Cu. Ft. side by side refrigerators because the price was cheap, fast delivery and now the water tastes so good.

The price is higher than Amazon or more generic brands, but GE is easily the most reliable anc definitely the highest quality for water filter replacements in GE fridges. Supreme Water quality is worth the extra money every time, IMO. Bobby Bouchée approved!

I was not expecting almost $50 for a water filter, but easy to change and works fine.

This replacement water filter is easy to use. I will continue to purchase this filter.

It's $3.00 cheaper at Best Buy I know. I will not go any other place. They deliver to tour home also.

The product is very effective and works well. Notifies one when its about due for replacement which is a feature given the sensitivity of having clean drinking water; especially when one has little children at home. Besides, Water tastes very fresh and clean.

Seems to work just fine. Pricey, but that is the going rate for these. I would probably try the Best Buy house brand just to compare but ultimately this one works great.

This is the 6th replacement filter I've bought for my refrigerator and they have all worked great. Water tastes fresh and clean which is an accomplishment since we live in Jefferson County and our water quality is not great.

Filter works well, is located in a good spot and is easy to install. However it is generally only good for 3-4 months unless you do not use the water dispenser very often. Also it seems to always leak a little as you take the old filter out. I know there is water left in the filter even after turning it off, but it seems like you should be able to design a filter that will not leak as you remove it.

OEM filter for my GE side-by-side refrigerator. Best Buy had in in stock and was priced right! Will buy again from Best Buy.
