I enjoy my French Door refrigerator and to be able to get the correct part for it is important. This is the second filter. The first one I bought, I was sold by an Best Buy employee that said all GE filters fit the same product. That may be true for current years but my French Door refrigerator was one of their first designs and water sprayed all over the inside while trying to put it in the slot. I returned it and the lady Best Buy employee that helped was on top of my problem and checked to see if I could get my money back as she sold me the new filter. I returned the filter that was wrong and was credited back that amount. So pleased that this trip to Best Buy was successful.

The refrigerator specifications are to use this specific filter. It’s pricy but it does last and the taste on the water is perfect. No issues ever.

This is the original OEM filter for GE. There are plenty of knockoffs out there that don't do the same amount of filtration. Makes water taste great.

So happy that Best Buy sells this product for your fridge! I originally though you could only get this at Lowe's or Home Depot. Sear's used to carry it but nowadays you have to hunt it down. Best Buy sold it at the best price compare to the last one I bought at Lowe's. No more huntng around, I'll just come to Best Buy and get it! I ordered it on-line and picked it up at the store...such a no-brainer. Funny thing is that you have to go through so much security verification at the store when it's pick-up time. You have to show your verification email, credit card and driver's license...what are we in an airport? Walmart doesn't even verify so much:)LOL

The filter works great . It makes all the ice and water fresh like a new refrigerator.
