I looked high and low throughout the store, even though they still had plenty of samsung fridges on sale that use only this filter, filter, or even its place on the display of other filters could not be found, went home and got it online at bestbuy.com

This is exactly what it says. Great for filtering water in your fridge. Leaving this review more for the fact that Best Buy’s auto ship has been great for reminding me to switch out the old with the new.

Words cannot contain the excitement that I have when I plug this bad boy in every 6 months... The sound of the filter filling up with water, knowing that it's going to give me the cleanest, purest water that anyone could have north of the Rio Grande and south of the Red River.

This filter needs to be replaced every 6-8 months. It costs $50. If you replace it 30 times over the life of your refrigerator, you end up paying for the refrigerator twice based on a $1500 refrigerator cost! Seems expensive for such a small relatively simple apparatus. It shouldn't cost any more than an oil filter for your car, i.e. $8. Next time I'm going to insist on getting a refrigerator without water dispensing. Also, the ice maker doesn't work properly and is not repairable. So much for Samsung.

This is the replacement filter, so not really much to say about it. This was the second one I've purchased since owning the refrigerator. It is not difficult to install, but if you're short, it's in an inconvenient spot. The first few batches of ice needed to be dumped as they came out cloudy and dark.

At first I told my wife we did not need it. She badgered me until I bought one. Now our s3x life is great! Ice cubes have never been clearer. I no longer have that violet indicator light blinking on the fridge door. I am on top of the world. I wish I had time to link the video...

Our refrigerator is happy again. It's amazing what this little filter can do. I made sure we have a spare on hand for when it's time to replace it again. Some times we just don't have the time to run out and get the replacement filter when it says it's time to replace me.

It is a good product and easy to replace. It can last 5-6 months depending on how much ice and water consumption there is. As much as I like it because of it's ease of use and how easy it is to replace I wish I didn't have to replace the filter twice a year. I just wish it lasted longer.

Yeah, the truth. I've had the refrigerator for about four years and only replace the filter every year instead of every six months. We are still living and not sick. Do not notice a degradation in the taste or appearance after six months.

Too expensive for the time it lasts. The filter is god and is the original supplier product. However the ratio of cost ~$50 USD vs the time it lasts ~ 4 months seem to expensive. I will expect lower cost.

If this is the correct filter size and number for your fridge, this is a good place to purchase it. I finally signed up for auto-renew so I wouldn't have to remember when I replaced the last one. This is a fast and convenient way to go.

This is a replacement filter for my Samsung refrigerator. Bought it because it’s the right fit. Only had my refrigerator for 4 years and the ice maker broke. Not sure I’d recommend a Samsung fridge but the filter fits and works!

It's a water filter, not much to say. But the install was fast and easy and within five minutes I had the reminder reset and fresh water flowing back to the ice maker and dispenser. OEM is the way to go!

This is the standard Samsung refrigerator replacement. It's better to purchase at Best Buy due to the extremely helpful BB staff, who found the right model and quickly completed the purchase. And very, very polite! Definitely going back to BB.

My overall impression with this filter is that it is the only one available for my refrigerator and it gets the job done. I did however drink a bottle of water and then a glass of water, and I noticed the water from the fridge tasted salty compared to the bottled water.

We have used this filter for years with good results. We have never had reason to question the effectiveness of the filter's performance in filtering according to specs. Normally allows adequate water flow for the entire life.

This is a direct replacement for the Samsung filter in my french door fridge. I usually wait a little longer and let the filter cycle through two times by clearing the indicator but really notice a difference in flow and taste when filter is new.
