    I have purchased these HAFIN2/EXP filters for years for my Samsung refrigerator model RS277ACPN. This time when I purchased it would not fit in the opening - apparently Samsung redesigned the filter - the nozel and locking notches no longer fit in the recess. I imagine it fits some models just fine, but definitely not the RS277ACPN. I did go to samsungparts.com and confirmed that this filter is compatible with my model. That is what they published, but must not have tested. I am also disappointed in Best Buy. When I brought back the filter and explained the problem I was told that they cannot accept the return because it had been opened - regardless of the circumstances. I was told to go to Samsung for help. I spent 40+ minutes in a frustrating chat with them that went nowhere. All they wanted to do was send out a service technician. As for returning/refunding the filter they said I need to talk to Best Buy. I am sharing this as a warning to Samsung refrigerator owners. They have made a redesign and if you buy from Best Buy you will be out $50 if it doesn't fit.

    I think that the filter is too expensive, but if one has the type of refrigerator that needs it one really has no choice but to purchase it when needed.

      About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.

      Replacing the water filter in your fridge helps keep your water tasting fresh and helps to prevent odors. Your Family Hub panel will notify you when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.

    I have been buying these filters since I brought the refrigerator and they seem to give you clean water. Don't buy Imitations by the real thing this filter is the real thing

    Although this is the correct model number, it won't fit my refrigerator. Had to use a knife to cut the clips on each side so I could twist it into place.
