Does not fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this OEM refridgerator filter for my Samsung refridgerator, it was the correct model# for this fridge but would fit in the housing. I tried to install it several ways, I did not want to break the housing, so I tried to return the filter to purchase a insigna brand filter that fits fine with no issues but was told they would not take back the Samsung filter because it was opened. I feel that spending $55.00 on an OEM product it should fit. There is obviously an issue with the Samsung filter because it will not engage and lock into place.

would like to be able to get a different filter

Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter

I could not install it and neither could a repair technician. According to the technician, this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators. Instead, another brand of filter has to be used.

Not the right filter

They absolutely assured me that it would fit and work. The computer said so. This was after I returned another filter for not fitting. However, the hole is not big enough to make a connection. I have to drill what looks to be a 1/4" hole to make it work. Not happy.

Doesn't fit

I tried that "'fully unlock the housing' procedure" here https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01109722. It just slides down as I rotate left. I even pulled the top shelf to give me more room to wrestle it.

It is hard to install

Hate that I have to replace every 6 months

Samsung has a problem

Samsung has changed the notches so the filter does not fit the housing. Same part number. There is information all over the internet. The last 3 filters with the same part number all had different notch pattern & you dont know that until you take the plastic off the cap.

Not happy with one filter

I thought the water filtration system needed repair but the serviceman said it was the filter. I couldn't return it because he cut off two tiny protruding ends trying to get it to function properly.

Very disappointed!

Filter produces bad taste

I followed the procedure written in the box to dispense 3 to 4 gallons of water before using or drinking but still it taste bad. Also the lock indicator doesn't fit the lock indicator in my fridge now. I dont know why, but this is the same compatible filter brand and type I'm using since 2009 for my Samsung refrigerator
