Good taste, somewhat difficult installation

Some people won't be able to tell. A few things keep it from 5 stars - it's expensive, and its a bit tough to screw in to the housing in the fridge. I usually have to take a file and file down a little bit of plastic to get it in right. Not a huge deal, but someone using this for the first time may be frustrated if they didn't know.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The filter is a good one; it's easy enough to screw into the spot for it in the refrigerator, but that spot is in the back of the fridge and so all the items in front need to be removed, the shelf removed and then put back after the filter is installed. The new Samsung refrigerators put the redesigned filter in the front where it is much easier to access. There is the five minute flushing of the filter that is a pain, but that's a necessary evil with water filters.

Great at a cost

I'd rather be safe than sorry, so I go with a filter manufactured by the same company. Basically, it does as it says and the water tastes great, but the price could stand to be a bit more reasonable.

About the water filter in your Samsung Refrigerator.
Replacing the water filter in your fridge helps keep your water tasting fresh and helps to prevent odors. Your Family Hub panel will notify you when it’s time to change it, which is about every 6 months. First make sure you purchase a genuine Samsung filter made specifically for your fridge model. You can find replacements on Samsung.com. When you’re ready to replace it, turn off the water line to the fridge, drain the waterline by running the dispenser, and then turn the old filter counterclockwise to pull it out. After you insert the new filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, and then turn your water valve back on. All that’s left is to run the water for a few minutes to flush it and reset the replace filter alert on your fridge.
