Good movie but the 3D is rated as far as what they have now. Still fun and was at a great price.

Nice steelbook to have as a collection but the movie was the worst out of the series.

Why is it so hard to make a half way decent resident evil film. Anyway if you love these films, this is more of the same. But for me, it was a waste of time.

I love collecting steel books, but the resident evil series isn't the best quality unfortunately. It even had physical scratches on it.

    Great Movie, But...

I have been a big fan of the Resident Evil franchise from the beginning, most of it having to do with my love for the games. I was a little disappointed with how this one played out compared to the others. For the most part, this movie does not do much more than create a long drawn out battle between two main characters, and will leave you dumbfounded on some of the events going on if you are not familiar with the more recent video games. Blu-Ray VS Blu-Ray 3D: While this edition includes both the 3D and 2D version, it's a little much asking for an extra $15 just to have the movie in 3D. Seeing as Blu Ray has come down so much, and when you buy a movie your paying more for the media content than the physical content, maybe an extra $5, but $15 is plain ridiculous. Give 3D a few more years and you will be able to pick up the bundles that include 3D and Regular for no extra price, they just want to put a premium on it because they can. (*SPOILER SECTION*) The whole Alice losing her powers was unnecessary, especially since she seems just as powerful Wesker's part is horribly acted, he is way more cooler and badass in the video games. Whats with killing off the whole army of Alice's towards the start of the movie, you were left with a huge finale from Extinction just to have them offed like flies. It is poor planning to conclude the previous movie the way they did just to discard it in the beginning of the sequel. (*END OF SPOILERS*) Don't get me wrong, this movie was very entertaining and I will definitely be buying it, I just feel like it could have been so much more. 3D is amazing to, I just feel that eventually the standard version will be dropped, and this version will drop to a more affordable price.

    Great for 3D content

Reading others' reviews, you can get a good sense of the video quality, audio quality, plot, etc. As far as I'm concerned, the movie in 2D was just 'ok'. I liked the first movie the most, loved the games, etc., but the only reason I bought this movie was for the 3D content. Speaking strictly from a 3D perspective, this movie was great. The two main reasons to buy a 3D movie are usually either because the movie has #1# great depth or #2# the pop-out effect. Suprisingly, this movie has both. In regards to depth, the movie uses the 3D depth effect quite well, throughout the whole movie. The depth effect is done very well, in my opinion. The movie is also full of 3D pop-outs as well. Many movies will toss in a couple of these here and there; however, this movie has one about every 5 minutes. Anything that could possibly fly at the screen does just that: bullets, guns, knives, blood, pieces of zombie, etc.... Overall, this is one of the 3D movies that I will watch multiple times, but only because of the 3D effects.

I went to the movies to see this in 3D i loved how it opened up a few minuets in with Alice coming in with her hair long and she had dual kitana 's on her back and her ninja stars to take on the umbrella swat team it was amazing her stars coming out at the screen at you the music gets you and pulls you in right with the action a blend of Metal and Techno and rock thrown to get you going as she tears in to them . He used the new James Cameron camera the fusion to film this . The only thing when Extinction ended Japan already had the virus now in the begining of this it 's normal does 'nt make sense seems like he back tracked to give you and opening you will see what i mean once you watch it i don 't want to spoil anything for you and Jill Valentine makes a return in this she is not in the movie it made me upset but watch the credits that 's your clue . Can 't wait to see it on Blu - Ray .

Great if you like the series

There isn't much more to say about this chapter than what has already been said in the product description and reviews. I'm giving it 3 stars because it delivered exactly what we expect from a RE movie. Action, action, action but no real substance. It really seemed like this movie was one of those "We'll force you to make this movie or we won't let you make the other movie you want." feeling. It felt like filler. I don't normally write short, lack of information, reviews but there just isn't any more to say than what has already been said. Needed to know before watching...Remember how in the last movie, Alice was now really powerfull and it looked like she would have an army of Alice's? The film makers decided, lets have everyone get drugged (yet again) and have their memories erased and this will explain why we are making yet another film. What??!! Wesker hits Alice with a serum to make her human again? But..He can still track her, she still survives a plane crash (just walks away)? When fighting, she still seems to have these abilities but they seemed dulled down. It was just something that bugged me about the plot from the start. Buy it if you are a fan of Milla and the series but if you arent' a big fan, let it go. Rent it instead of buy it.
