Excellent showing of 3D
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this in theaters and couldn't wait to own it. The 3D is some of the best out of all available 3D films. I own a Samsung pn50c8000 so I can't say about a 3D comparison to say that of the exclusive Avatar(Cough Panasonic im looking at you). But I currently have seen all available 3D movies that aren't exclusive to Pani or Sony and I must say that this was the most enjoyable experience by far no crosstalk for me the 3D was seamless. The story is quite good in comparison to the previous movies however with a few plot holes it falls just short of amazing but still a definite recommended movie especially for 3D tv owners. The Cinematography is beautiful and 3D was definitely in mind when this filmed as opposed to an afterthought to sell tickets. There are few extras to speak of however I rarely look too much into these things im more interested in the movie but gave it an average as there are plenty of deleted scenes, outtakes, and some behind the scenes footage... nothing special but I supposed that it is enough and its interesting enough to watch. All in all a highly recommended buy especially again for 3D tv owners.

Enjoyed 3D visual effects and full action Resident
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this movie Afterlife, so much I played the previous sequel Extinction. My collection of 4, with Resident Evil: Afterlife I purchased in 3D Blu-ray. I watched in 3D and 2D versions enjoying both. When viewing 3D, I used a 55in Full 1080P, 3D HDTV/3D Blu-Ray Player with superb results in depth and with popping out imageries. The speed, power, weapons and moves (Alice) Milla Jovovich have are incredible and mind-blowing to watch. Either she is taken on Umbrella corporation’s army forces and technology or Milla Jovovich -Alice is really killing The Undead zombies shooting away, kicking, punching, jumping, running, swinging, flying through space, use of weaponry or with her powerful eyes she makes a fantastic performance. The axed giant monster swings his axe so close, not easy to kill and knocks Milla around a bit; she gets some help from Ali Larter (Clair), she tough in this movie, too. It was surprise where they left off and met again, in the search for Arcadia. What comes out of the mutant's mouth is fierce and the dogs that split themselves apart. The team of survivors work hard together and uncover a lot issues escaping from the top of the building with Blood flesh eaten zombies pushing their way in and through the prison complex. There are surprises at the end, may be another sequel or use your imagination.

Another good installment in the series.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have all the previous Resident Evil movies on blu-ray and this one does not dissappoint. I paid $21.99 for the movie and cannot recommend it at this price. Anything $19.99 and below is where I would recommend it. This is only because there is no DVD copy or iTunes digital copy. There is a Cinema Now digital copy but that sucks because you can't play in iTunes or on your iPod. I do not have a 3D TV but this was created for 3D and you can kind of tell with the gimicky 3D tricks that have things jump out at you. When you watch the making of the movie you can tell the director revolved the movie around 3D and this makes the gimicky and not as good as it could have been. Overall it is nice to have and I will still watch it a few more times. The blu-ray looks good but too much green screen takes away from the experience.

Very Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I give this 4 stars. I am new to the Resident Evil series. This is the first one I have seen. I did choose this for it's 3D version. I viewed this using a Panasonic Blu-ray player and a Mitsubishi 73" DLP. The 3D cinemotography was well done. It had some of the best 3D I have seen in the genre. The story had some holes but overall it was a decent ride. The story and action moved at a decent pace and if it weren't for the ending I would possibly give it a higher rating. I'll leave it at that. So would I be as pleased if I only had watched this in 2D??? Probably not. Many of the scenes were shot with 3D in mind and for me it added to the whole experience. Since I haven't been following the Resident Evil series I probably would have passed on the movie. I do think the 3D boosted my overall enjoyment level. I would probably rate the movie with 3 stars if I only had seen it in 2D.

Excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to the movies to see this in 3D i loved how it opened up a few minuets in with Alice coming in with her hair long and she had dual kitana 's on her back and her ninja stars to take on the umbrella swat team it was amazing her stars coming out at the screen at you the music gets you and pulls you in right with the action a blend of Metal and Techno and rock thrown to get you going as she tears in to them . He used the new James Cameron camera the fusion to film this . The only thing when Extinction ended Japan already had the virus now in the begining of this it 's normal does 'nt make sense seems like he back tracked to give you and opening you will see what i mean once you watch it i don 't want to spoil anything for you and Jill Valentine makes a return in this she is not in the movie it made me upset but watch the credits that 's your clue . Can 't wait to see it on Blu - Ray .

Great addition to the Franchise!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im a big fan of the series and this is a great addition to the franchise. The first one is still the best IMO but this is a greatly entertaining film. For those stating that the "popouts" are great... this movie was filmed in 3D and does not contain many post production effects. Please do your research before making assumptions as the director and producers went to great lengths to record this film in 3D. Definitely my favorite 3D movie of all that I have seen the 3D is truly impressive! Pick it up!

Great 3D movie!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some early reviews below, I was hearing that this movie did not have any 3D effects and that you could watch it with out shutter glasses yada yada yada..... Don't believe these reviews. This movie is a great 3D movie that has a lot of 3D effects and action. Just as I remember it from the theaters.

From an Honest Fan of the games and movies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Movie was good to but the beginning moved way and I mean WAY! to fast and the movie had some slow motion 3D parts that in 2D seem kinda lame when you watch it but other that that I liked it the characters were really cliche like an actress trying to make it a black basketball player and a rude movie director like right off the bat you can tell who's gonna be good or bad and who's gonna die but once you get into the movie it gets better and less corny and you get into into it but then once it gets good its over so yeah it wasn't as good as the 1 or 3 but better than 2 but it's worth watching

Resident Evil: Afterlife
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The zombies make this movie better than average. The action sequences in this movie are amazing. They should have kept it in 2D. It would have made it a little better. I think trying to get a movie to work well in 3D is pretty tough. The best parts of the movie are the shooting parts, but you'll have to watch it for yourself if you want to see what I am talking about. I would recommend buying the movie and watching it, but that is just my opinion.

Forget the 3D, just watch Blu-Ray
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this movie in 3D at the theater and was disapointed with it. To sit for 2 hours with uncomfortable glasses for only a handful of scenes that could justify the 3D was wrong. However, after getting the Blu-ray of this movie, I loved it. In my opinion, it brought the franchise back from the flop that the 3rd film was, and I hope there will be more to come.

Best Video Game Movie Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the best 3D movie and let me clarify. How to train your dragon 3D is the best 3D cartoon we will say. Resident Evil is the best 3D movie. Ive seen all 12 of the 3d movies on my 46 inch Samsung TV. So much better than Alice in Wonderland. I would recomend to anyone with a 3D TV.

3D was great at home
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost didn't buy this because of the reviewers reporting poor 3D on their home setups. Glad I decided to try it. The 3D was outstanding. I watched on an LG with a PS3.

Alsome Movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Resident Evil Movies . I have them All. This movie was never part of the first 3. So when it came out it felt like they just want to make money. but the movie was Great. i seen it in 3D and in 2D and not much is lost in the 2D. But if you buy the 3D one you get a DVD a Blu-Ray and a 3d Blu-ray. I think they want to do a reboot of the Resident Evil movies this being the first.

Not bad, could of been better.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was okay. Not your average R.E. video game, but the movie finally showed some improvement movement in the plot by adding the important characters of Chris Redfield & Albert Wesker. Even though I was excited to FINALLY see Albert Wesker in the film, he acted too much like Agent Smith in the Matrix. The ending of the movies was good, a great setup for the next film!

Great action movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want escape with great non-stop action, this is the movie for you. If you want lots of substance, rent a drama flick. With this movie, you get a wild ride into the world of Resident Evil and you'll be entertained. It does have its cliche moments, but still well done, I enjoyed it very much.

Resident Evil rocks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd favorite in the series after the first and extinction because it doesn't follow any of the game plots and keeps it original. Bringing Chris Redfield into the films is awesome and seeing Jill Valentine again is welcoming. The movie borrows elements from RE5 the most action packed game in the video game series.

best 3d yet. crystal clear. Lots of pop outs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 18 3D movies. This is the most crystal clear of them all. Very little ghosting throughout the movie. If you are a Resident Evil fan then you will like the plot. If you love action and 3D effects you will love this movie. A lot of in your face 3D.
