one of the best zombie movies ever created.. can't wait for another installment to come out.

It was pretty good in 3d..................................

Plot is below average for series! Takes bout a hour for any 3D effect. Not enough skin (for being girls as main actresses}. The 3D parts which is about 30% of total movie is to me above average. Price for 3D disk should be around 25 bucks. As i said the plot stinks.

Buy one movie at $3.99 and get another for free. Who wouldnt take that deal!!!

These movies are great, even better now in 3D!! Lots of great 3D moments.

I'll be honest, I went to see this knowing it wouldn't be great. The 3D looked awesome, and I was excited to see Wesker. What I wasn't expecting was a dull, pointless, plot less, horribly-acted cornball "action" movie.

Being a fan of the Resident Evil films, RE:Afterlife was kind of a let down. This time around I feel that the filmmakers spent way too much time on trying to make the film 3D and inventing new ways of filming things in 3D that they forgot about the rest of the movie. Granted these films are made to be Oscar winners, they are to be slam-bam action, explosions, fighting and zombies. I think the script suffered, the acting was stale and as lifeless as the zombies. Hopefully the next installment they will have gotten the "let's make it 3D" trend out of their systems and make a film that's up to par with RE:1 or RE:3.

Like the last reviewer stated " Don't buy" Almost returned my tv because of this.Was waiting for this since I heard it would come out on the 28th. Been a fan of the Resident Evil series and this was a total blind buy because I heard the 3D was awesome in the theatre .I also was looking for a live action film instead of cartoons. This movie is the worst presentation of 3D. No depth at all. I had to literally stand a foot away to actually see some depth . Was so mad didn't even enjoy the movie. I kept fas forwarding it to see some worthy 3D. I even checked my 3D settings,connections etc . The movie actually gave me a headache because I kept straining to see something that was not there. Don't buy. How are people going to get into 3D when something like this passes QA not to mention the price increase for the movie..

Not as good as the originals but the effects sure are good. They are running out of stories. But even a bad one in the franchise is better than alot of new zombie movies....

I have to be honest this is a tough one for me there's ton of action.. If you follow RE you know the story line so I will not go into that .. But what I can say is there's a bit of pop-out scenes(4).. Yes it could have been better (acting,3D pop-outs, plot) but what do you exspect it's base of a Video Game.. I still think the 1st movie was the best it was darker, well acted, just all around better.. Just bcuz a movie is base on a video game or cartoon it doesn't have to be chessy & cartoony( Cough Cough!!!$) AirBender.... Hey! It's only 25$ bucks buy it , watch it, you decide.

I don't want to give away plot, so I'll stick to just some basic facts about the presentation. The film was presented in theaters as 3D. Unfortunately, that means a lot of slow motion action scenes where 3D was enhanced at the movies, but not in your home. It's more of a matter of "done for 3D" than for story or the "Resident Evil" feel of the movie. Unless you want the whole collection, rent it. WARNING: Partial Plot information....don't read further if you don't want ANY plot info. The end, sadly, left an opening for Resident Evil V. Will there be an ending to this story?

I have not been this disappointed with a purchase in my life. After watching The Guardians of..in 3D and watching this movie, I almost threw it in the oven. I was so excited to buy this movie in 3D spending over $30 for it. Infact, do not spend ur money for the 3D, just buy a regular DVD disc and you will just be fine or rent it at some dollar rental. I could watch this movie without the glasses and it was clear as bottled water - no 3D effects. I have a 73 Inch DLP TV, 3D ready, setup with a computer using a 3D software play with Diamond Radeon 6XXX series video card - the entire shebang. I have confortably watched other 3D movies with great satisfaction. I will be returning this to the store - bought it from Bestbuy - they can keep my money if they want!

Standard "Resident Evil" movie in 3D. Not great, not horrible, just more zombies. 3D wasn't that impressive.

Uses the usual 3D effect shots, and rest not as 3D looking.

I am a big fan of the Resident Evil Franchise. The 2 reviewers before myself were dead on about the 3D. I also heard that it was awesome in 3D. I was so excited to purchase this. As soon as I got home I had my family watch it with me. WHAT A LET DOWN!!! This is almost as bad as The Last Airbender 3D. I even saw crosstalk at certain points....lame. Do yourself a favor and get Step Up 3D Bluray.

this movie is the worst ruins the franchise and kills its such a desperate attempt at making a movie

We saw this and regretted that we did not skip this one. As owners of the entire movie series so far... we were sadly disappointed in this release. The story was stretched thin by the forced 3D cinematic elements forced into the movie. Although there was an attempt to address story continuity, is suffered due to all the other movie elements that were so badly contrived.
