I am aware that the height of the volumn is reduced than the volumn on adults head phones as a safety feature but these could have a louder volumn maximum. There has to be total silence in the room or car for my granddaughter to hear well.

Cute but not very functional

Not on mine, or my two-year-old. I thought they were super low in volume too but I believe it intentionally designed that way.
