Cute but break easily

The first pair broke soon after she got them, but she wasn't very careful with the retractable cord. A few months later we decided to try again, but made her promise to be very careful with the cord, but still they broke within a few weeks. We didn't keep the receipt, so we're just out the cost of them, twice.
