I bought the Reding 78W car charger and it works perfectly. It charges my iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 12 at the same time without slowing down. The build quality feels solid, the connection is stable, and the charging speed is really fast. Even on long drives, both phones stay powered up with no heating issues. Definitely one of the best car chargers I’ve used. Highly recommended!

A lot of power for the buck

This little Rexing charger exceeded my expectations. It works like they say it does and doesn’t overheat. It’s small and the blue power LED isn’t so bright it blinds you. It’s bright enough that you can see it in the day and not so bright as to be annoying at night. I used this charger in my vehicle several times and it does charge up my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra pretty fast. But that’s a pretty subjective opinion. It was time to get out the test gear and see just how good it is. I have listed specs, but if you don’t understand them, just know that it works well and meets advertised specs. Here’s what I did to test it. I used an Astron RS-35M 35 amp linear, 13.8 volt DC power supply that I use to power my Ameteaur Radio gear. I connected a power port to it to plug the charger into and run the positive line through my Fluke 123 III meter set to measure DC current. I also had my thermal camera handy to see how warm the charger got. I connected my S22 to it via USB-C to USB-C. I had let the phone run down to 10% before conducting the test. The phone reported 41 minutes until full. I then disconnected the phone from the Rexing charger and connected to my 45 watt Samsung charger. It reported 41 minutes also. I then switched back to the Rexing charger, took photos of the meter’s current reading, 2.09 amps and then took a voltage reading, 13.7 VDC, with another meter. See photos. After 15 minutes I took photos of the charger with my thermal camera. It was warm but not hot. I then connected my Gen 9 iPad to it via the USB-A port. It was at 52% battery and increased the current draw from 2.09 amps to 4.33 amps for about 30 seconds and then dropped to 3.21 amps and held steady. I don’t know why it dropped and settled in at that. The iPad’s charging system or the Rexing charger? After 10 minutes, I took more photos with the thermal camera. It was indeed warmer, but still not what I consider to be “Hot”. That would be in excess of 125F. Peek temperature was 120.8 at maximum load. 43.97 watts. See photos. Readings and calculations summary: Volts times Amps equals Watts Galaxy S22 Ultra 13.7 VDC at 2.09 amps is 26.63 watts S22 and iPad 13.7 VDC at 3.21 amps is 43.97 watts The charger is rated up to 78 watts, however I didn’t have anything to connect to it to put a load on it higher than the phone and iPad together. That includes 2 Dell laptops and an HP Windows tablet that charge via USB-C. They averaged between 45 and 53 watts. Warranty: 12-month or 18-month with Product Registration Conclusion: Again, exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

THS IS THE CAR CHARGER FOR FOR A QUICK CHARGE

This charger is what exactly a charger should be for a car that needs to provide you a quick fast charge along with giving you the options of USB A or USB C . Now I have two products such as an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy both of these devices have gotten charged surprisingly FAST. The product is small sleek and unique and not only doesn't give me the charge of a full quick charge on my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra AND DOEN'T drain my car battery unless the motor is not running and im just using my car ob acessory mode.. I did notice a little slight screech sound and very very hard to notice it was a little bit alarming when I first heard that, I assume that's the wattage of the product. Overall it is capable to work with your car. I definitely would recommend this to anybody who is looking for a car charger and has fast device charging because this will charge your device in a jiffy!

A Disappointing End to a Promising Start

Great Charger, But Don't Count on it for Long I bought the Rexing 78W Quick Charger after my 120W one failed, hoping for a similar, but more reliable, experience. Out of the box, it worked great. The compact design is excellent, and the combination of a USB-C and USB-A port was perfect for keeping both my dashcam and my phone charged simultaneously. The fast-charging capability was a huge selling point, and for the first few weeks, it absolutely lived up to the hype. The charging speed was impressive. I was able to top off my phone in a flash, and it kept my dashcam powered without any issues. The build quality also felt durable and solid, and the green LED indicator was a nice visual cue that it was working. Unfortunately, just like the other model, this charger died on me after about four weeks. It simply stopped working one day and no longer provides power to any of my devices. I was really hoping this one would last, but it seems there might be a recurring quality control issue with this brand. I'm disappointed, because when it worked, it was one of the best car chargers I've owned. It provided fast, reliable power exactly as advertised. But a month of use for the price isn't a good value, and I'll have to return it and find a more durable alternative.

The rexing 78w charger is a handy compact plug that is a must, especially if you do a lot of travel work with a computer. With phones, it's great. I get "super fast" charging speeds. On long trips I use my cars wireless pad because it's ok to slow charge it. But when I have a short drive, it's the best way to maximize the little time you have to get the most power you can. My laptop runs on a 65W charger. This can easily charge my laptop in the car as well as another device thanks to the dual ports. It comes with a usb C to C cable, which is nice if you have an older USB C phone that maybe came with an A to C cable. The cable is a good length that if you're parked you can have the computer on your lap and still have it plugged in. There's still the USB A port that you can still use with your existing cables, but I prefer using the C and keeping that port free for other passengers Doesn't seem to get too hot when being plugged in for a while, but you usually wouldn't anyways since it's quick to charge. Samsung s20fe took less than an hour from full dead 0% It is a little longer than I'd have liked. I prefer the flush mount ones. It sticks out a fair bit from the port. In one of my cars, it would get in the way of the tray of the armrest. Thankfully there's other ports. That may not matter for most but I would have preferred using the more hidden port than sticking out in the open. I like to maintain a clean look of my console

I drive an older model SUV that has no modern bells and whistles in it. So, no wireless charging or built-in charging ports. All I have is a couple of older “cigarette lighter” ports (power ports now). I was using a plug-in charger in one and while it did what it was supposed to do, it’s been very, VERY slow. So I’m now trying out the Rexing 78w Dual Port charger, and it’s made a noticeable difference in terms of faster charger speeds. The Rexing 78w charger has two ports on it – a traditional USB-A port, and a newer USB-C type port. This way you can use charging cables of both types for a variety of devices and phones. It also comes with a short USB-C to USB-C cable. The A port will give you 18 watts charging speeds, and the C port will charge up to 60 watts, so together you can get a max of 78 watts output at the same time. Note if you want to use an iPhone on the faster C charger, you will need to get a USB-C to Lightning cable plug cable to do that with. There’s a dim LED light that’s on when the charger is plugged in to your car and/or charging. The charger fits snugly into my car port. The black color blends in with the surroundings so it’s not obnoxious in appearance. The light isn’t bad as it also helps direct you to the charger in darker conditions. The Rexing offers overcharge, overheating, and short-circuiting protections, so allegedly it should not burn up or fry your devices when in use. Still, just as a personal suggestion, I always suggest unplugging chargers when not in use, as some cars themselves can be a bit glitchy and will still draw power into them even if your engine is off. Rexing says you get around 3X charging speeds with this model, but of course it will depend on what other (older) one you’ve been using. It’s definitely faster than my old one, which would barely charge a few percentages of power on my short commute to work – the Rexing does noticeably more. A friend plugged a small 13 inch laptop in to it while we were driving around and they said it powered the laptop with no problem and added to the charge even while using it at the same time. Good stuff! Even if your car has modern charging capabilities, you can always use this in the back passenger areas, or as something to take with you while traveling others’ vehicles as well. Recommended!

This product is Absolutely amazing. I love how it includes a USB-C port. The second best thing about this product is the charging speed. The original USB charging port works great, but the USB-C charges extremely quick. Although this product is small it definitely packs a punch.
