A Solid Upgrade for Vehicles with a Low Power OEM

Summary This device is a solid quick charging upgrade for vehicles that do not have factory installed quick charging capabilities. Placing this in the center console, we are able to quickly charge two phones at the same time. It small profile goes unnoticed and make it difficult to accidentally hit and dislodge. I would recommend this device to friends and family. Packaging The packaging for this charger is compact and sufficient. Although this device does not take much to set up, the instructions are enough for anyone that may be having trouble. What's Included? The charger comes with one USB-C to USB-C charging cable capable of fast charging phones. It DOES NOT include an iPhone charger or a USB-A to "Insert your connector here" charging cable. Quality The charger feels solid. It is made mainly of plastic, but feels compact and well made. As stated above, its compact design makes it more difficult to accidentally catch the charger which could cause it to dislodge or break. Usage As stated above Overall I would recommend this device to friends and family member.

    Powers a full size laptop!

This is a simple device that does exactly what it should do; provide power, and lots of it! I used this to replace and older but less powerful quick charger in the hope that this one would provide enough power for larger devices on-the-go like my full size laptop and drone -- I was not disappointed! Day-to-day I use the charger for just my phone, but I like to get outdoors and do nature, scenic, and action videos and to keep all those devices fed I simply needed more power than my previous charger was capable of. Sure, I could run a full-on inverter, which has its own benefits and caveats, and I was looking for something smaller and less intrusive, and this fit the bill perfectly! Using the high-power USB-C port and cable I can give my phone a quick booster charge in short order, or I can switch my phone to the USB-A port for a more gradual charge when I need the USB-C port for my laptop or drone. In the short time I've had this I've been able to escape into the great outdoors for a day of filming and flying with this in my car to keep everything charged, powered, and humming along smoothly. I'm very happy with this, if you need a high power automobile charger this is much cleaner and more compact solution than opting for an inverter.

Wall-like Quick Charge in your Car...!

The Rexing - 78W Vehicle Quick Charger with 1 USB-C & 1 USB offer wall plug-like charging power and speed in the portability and convenience of a car charger. Offering both a USB-A and USB-C dual option, your Android and Apple friends will be able to get along without having to swap power cables or fight over who needs to charge their phones more. Small, this device fits into nearly any area offering an old cigarette lighter jack. I found this to be exactly what I needed after getting a new car. My old truck offered 7 USB options and 4 Cigarette lighter ports so I never needed anything like this. My new/used car offers only 1 UBS port and 2 Cigarette lighter ports. This was a hard exchange because I use a dashcam and several other devices due to my commute and travel. I needed something that offered fast and continuous safe charging in one limited location. The Rexing Quick Charger was the perfect solution! PROS - Rexing quality and innovation - Quick charge in your car - 2 ports offer both A and C USB options for simultaneous charging of 2 units - Small and fits in most locations - No power loss while charging 2 units - Powers up even an iPad to full power in about 1 hour CONS - None at this time.

Rexing 78w Dual port usb car charger. When I first took it out of the box I felt like it was a little bigger then my old port charger I think because of it being square but it still fit perfectly in the car port I like to use, It is a dual charger it has 2 slots one for USB-A & USB-C but only comes with a USB-C-C charging cord. I’ve purchased a few “fast charging” car ports but I don’t feel they were really fast charging as they claimed to be, my new Rexing charger I’m pretty happy and impressed with it. Nice part it has protection from overcharging, heat protection, voltage protection, I’ve charged my phones, Apple Watch, laptop and Apple tablet with it and all charged perfectly. It has a total of 78 watts total power out put, input is 12-24V. led power indicator. I like that it has a little glow to it helps plug the cord in when it’s darker out, yes that makes a difference for me. I’ve used both ports at the same time for charging and both phones still charged just as fast I did not notice any slow down in the speed. I did have to use my own iPhone charger cause of the type it came with which was good for my other android phone, not a big deal. But for the price I would highly recommend getting one instead of paying $2 for a cheap one with no fast charging or protection.

The Rexing 78W vehicle quick charger works great and is fast charging if your device and vehicle can suport it. My GM vehicle fro 2018 suported the draw needed for the fast charger to work, my 2018 Ram product does not. When pulling out our of the box, I instantly noticed the quality of the charger, something I have noticed Rexing passing attention too over the past few years using their products. This is not a "Cheapo" company at all and is up there with other top tier brands that we all use for small electronics. I use multiple Rexing car mirror kits for recording and never have an issue. On to the testing, i first went to my 2018 Ram product and tried to use this with a S21+ Ultra, S23+ Ultra, Tab 7s and a Chromebook for the USB-C and not one had power. I then tested the exact same lineup in my 2018 GM and every device charged at some rate. The S21+ Ultra would not fast charge but the S23+ Ultra and the others would, found it odd. I then moved onto the USB-A snd again,y Ram would not charge a device, the 2018 GM charged them all. I do not know why the Ram will not give it the needed power but obviously Ram has some type of safety integrated. Charging speeds where all great, fast charging was really good, standard was as well. No noises or humming with feedback through the stereo, that was nice to see, some brands do. I only gave it 4 stars because it does not sense the power draw issue with Ram and lower the need, for the proce point, i think it should be able to do this. I do recommend this though, I will continue to use it in the GM.

This car charger has worked as expected, and then some. It came with the USB-C to USB-C wire for my phone which I appreciated, and when I plugged it in for the first time, my phone made a noise I had never heard before, and it said it was super fast charging, which I have also never seen, only fast charging before that. I immediately thought, how have I lasted this long without this?! It was impressive how fast my phone charged with this. This charger is also a perfect size, especially for travel, or just keeping it in the car to charge your phone, bluetooth headphones, tablet, etc. I also like how the face of the charger lights up, it is not necessary but it is a nice feature that helps know it is getting power at a quick glance. My one complaint about this is that the face of the charger sticks out farther than most chargers from the plug, causing it to be bumped more. I have been bumping the charger itself and the wire that sticks out even further. I wish it sat more flush to the outlet, but it is not a deal breaker. Overall I have been very happy with this charger and I would recommend it, I might even consider getting a bigger one for the future.

Faster Charger and Concurrent Two Device Charging

This dual port USB charger by Rexing is very useful because it does have two ports: one USB A and one USB C, and safely turns your car cigarette lighter port into a convenient phone charger. I tried several devices and achieved faster charging for all devices. It did handle charging two devices at the same time with no problems and both devices charged at an accelerated rate versus my old car charger. I used it successfully for my dash cam, cell phones, ear buds and MP3 player. A key feature I feel is that this product protects your devices against both overheating and overcharging. That is a very smart safety-type design point; a tip of the cap to the design engineers. A subtle point is the shape of this unit. The shape makes it very easy to grip and pull out of the cigarette lighter socket. This unit solved the problem of charging both of our cell phones at the same time; since before we had only one port to charge with in the car – that’s a very ‘peace-keeping’ feature. The build quality is very solid. I would highly recommend this item for use in your vehicle cigarette lighter.

Solid vehicle charger for all of your USB-C stuff

The Rexing 78 Watt vehicle quick charger itself is great. I can charge an iPhone in 12-watt mode with the USB-A port while I charge my son's laptop over USB-C simultaneously. However, the cord included is a little less substantial than I would like, so I used it with a thicker, 100 watt-rated USB-C PD cable. Quick charging using USB-PD works great with both Android devices, compatible iOS devices, and devices that use USB-C for charging or power; even the Nintendo Switch works great with this, never losing power while in use unlike with standard vehicle plugs or built-in USB ports. The vehicle plug itself also never got warm while under any load, at least when compared to ambient temperatures on these warmer Missouri summer days. Even after two hours of my kid's laptop running, the plug wasn't warm at all. Note that since this plug is limited to 60 watts, your laptops may give you warnings about not being able to charge while in use; Dell laptops that my wife and my son have (Inspiron 13 7415 and Inspiron 14 7425) All in all, I call this a win.

The Rexing -78W Vehicle Quick Charger is a handy little gadget all vehicles should have. Most newer vehicles come with an assortment of charging ports included however having this little charger is very cool as it provides both USB-A and USB-C Ports in one device. I can charge my iPhone and iPad Pro at the same time quickly and be assured to have full batteries for the day. I have tried several of car charging adapters however very few will provide up the the wattage the Rexing Charging adapter provides. Easy to use and comes with an included USB-C cable which is pretty handy to have. Plug into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket ( I know I wasn't sure my 2021 Rouge had one until I opened the cover and saw it) Once plugged into the Cigarette Lighter socket, plug in your mobile phone and or Tablet in the ports and the power indicator will emit a blue light letting you know that your devices are charging. It really couldn't get any easier than this. Be sure to add this vehicle charger to your list of accessories to have!

Well, I’m not sure if this was me or a temporary issue that seems to have resolved itself. Let me give you the play-by-play… The Rexing Dual Port 78w USB PD charger seems to be well put together — especially if you check out the dissection photos that show the make up of this thing. I like the extra power aspect. I like that there are built-in safeguards against overcharging, overheating, and voltage protection. Nobody needs any of this happening while heading down the interstate. We have a ’13 Toyota Prius and a ’19 Chevy Blazer. I first took the charger, cables (it comes with a USB-C to C cable), and my Pixel 7 and Dell XPS laptop out to the Prius. I plugged in both devices — the phone using an A to C cable, and the laptop with the provided C to C cable — and started the car. I checked the phone and there was no charging going on. Then I picked up the laptop to check on it — same thing. Nothing. I unplugged the laptop and plugged it back in (and, yes, the blue power LED on the Rexing charger was lit). Still nothing. I then set down the laptop and picked up my phone which was still plugged in. Wow! Where the cable plugs into the bottom of the phone was just about hot enough to burn the palm of my hand! I quickly reached down and unplugged the charger and the USB-A end of the cable was even hotter! I took everything back inside to look things over and tell my wife what happened. After things had cooled down, I decided to try again, but this time with the Blazer. After starting the car, I decided to go slowly and plug things in, one at a time. Charger first. Then USB-C to C cable. Now the laptop. The charging light lit up; it was taking a charge! Next, was the USB-A to C cable (the one that really got hot). No heat. Plugged in the phone and it immediately vibrated to let me know it was taking a charge. I let things run for about 10 minutes and there was no adverse change in temperature (just the normal warmth on the back of the phone). Now I’m thinking that there must be some issue with the Prius. You know what I did…I plugged everything in again in the Prius. Everything. Worked. Perfectly. Just like it had in the Blazer. I’m stumped. Maybe because I had both devices plugged into the charger before even starting the car? I don’t know. But I’ve tried to replicate the problem and I can’t get it to happen again. The Rexing charger seems to be working just fine, which is really cool that I don’t need a bulky power converter to charge the laptop. The phone also seems to be taking a quick charge just fine. I’m knocking off 2 stars because of what I experienced. Now I’m a bit paranoid…but it may have been my fault and not Rexing. We may never know.

Good car charger but I can't say anything special about it. These day most chargers are fast charges anyway. My car rides are short since my work is very close to my house and I can't tell how long does it take to get full charge and honestly who leaves house with empty battery anyway? I do get about 25% percent in less than 20 minutes which is I believe pretty much standard these days, if phone has fast charge option. Size is good, not too big but not too short either. It has two ports one regular USB 3.0 and one USB type C but since most of the newer phones have USB type C anyway I find a regular USB 3.0 port useless and I would prefer charger with dual USB type C ports but that is just my opinion, but USB to Type C adapter can fix this and make it more useful. Other options I do like is overcharge and over heat protection which I didn't see on many car chargers and it might protect plugged device and battery quality. Once again decent car charger which I would recommend it for purchase.

I mainly wanted this charger for fast charging on my ROG Ally when it comes it. The charger came in before my Ally was released so I'll have to wait a week to test it. As for phones, it's kinda weird how it refuses to charge some. The age of the phone isn't what determines compatibility. My phone is the older S21+ Ultra 5g. It supports 25w charging which should work with the Rexing since it supports smart charging and pick the lower wattage. Sadly, the phone doesn't charge on the USB C 60w port. Putting it on the 18w port and it charges fine. I then tested an old Pixel and Motorolla I have and they both charged on the 60w port, but slower. My daughter's S22 Ultra and a friend's S23 Ultra both charge full speed on the 60w port. Just for some reason my S21 won't even trickle on the 60w port. I use a 65w charger at home for my S21 without issues since it knows to reduce the wattage. I hoping that the Ally doesn't have an issue charging full speed on the Rexing. I haven't tested any laptops to see if they'd pull 60w or not, but at least the 18w port should do for a trickle charge.
