I mainly use my CPW-22 with Carplay but have easily connected and used with Android Auto with no issues. The new CPW-22’s wireless performance has been better and more reliable that the CPW-1 that tended to lag and lose wireless connection. A must have for converting a wired Apple Carplay/Android Auto radio to wireless connectivity.

Thats where this device comes in. Plug it in a forget about it. My phone now connects instantly. Now conencts to anroid auto as well. Works!

I would say once initially connected, it connects automatically maybe 86% of the time which some people may think is reliable enough but I dont. I’ve experienced random disconnects while driving and when asking Siri to play a different song, it disconnects about 60% of the time upon a voice request. The other issue I have is the lag when pressing the steering wheel buttons to change the song. After pressing the button, the song changes about 2 or more seconds later. Some lag is to be expected for a device using wireless capabilities but the technology just isn’t up to par yet to justify this purchase.
