This extension works, though it could use improvement for safety. Where the wire enters the female connector it is not secured into the shell except by a sleeve that both sides of the shell clamp onto, except the wire still has rotational and in and out movement. This means the wires are secured to the female connector exclusively at the pins of the connector with no internal strain relief. If you used this regularly, pulled or rotated the wire too hard on that end, it may break off at the pins. I improved it by wrapping the wire in electrical tape both where it enters the connector and inside the connector so the wire cannot pull in and out. Solving rotation seems not possible unless the shell is revised to positively clamp the wire internally or if the manufacturer applied an adhesive or epoxy where the wire enters the sleeve. The male end that goes into the car seems to have no issues, though it does not have the button to open the charge port, so you need to use the car or app to open it, and to stop charging and unlock the connector. Most of these cables are like that so no issue from me, I believe the listing says so. The product works, but for how expensive these extensions usually cost (MSRP for this is $300!) I expected the wire to at least be secured to the connector shell properly. If you are handy it can be improved. If you only needed this every now and then it would serve it’s purpose. Just be careful with it.

This works just great! Long enough so that I can charge my second car! No problems at all, the only complaint is that I wish it had a way to unlock the cable manually, you have to either go to the car app and unlock or go to the original cable and click on the button

This a great add on to the existing tesla home chargers. Now i can charge on both sides of the garage and outside as well. No button to open up the charge port is a bummer.

It’s a good length & works fine. Is a bit tight fitting into Tesla charging port at first and should loosen up over time.

This is a nice clean solution for Tesla charging. I would have given it 5 stars but the cable I received is shorter than the advertised 20 feet.

Although, to me, it's a little bit pricey, I bought this extension for it's purpose. To extend the wall charger's reach. It works. I read a few "complaints" about this product before buying. Yes, I agree with some of the complaints. One in particular. I have a Tesla M3. It's a hassle to unplug this extender when charging is completed because the uninstall button for the charger is on the wall charger unit. For one person, it's almost unreasonable and frustrating to uninstall it. I usually ask for someone to hit the charger button, while I'm standing ready to remove the extender, at the car charging port. It WOULD be nice to have these "suggestions," looked at. But, overall, it works. Built solid and it's "plug and play."

Just bought this for an early birthday present. it is a great addition to his new 2026 Tesla Y. He had the installation put in his garage and found out he needed extra cable if he pulled in instead of backing in. very easy to use and connect. His dad was so impressed, he bought one for his 2021 Tesla

Works very well and does not decrease charging efficiency. The distance is good as well

This is perfect! So easy to connect to the original charger and you are good to go. Comes with a carrier bag as well, makes traveling easy and keeps things organized.

Good cord, but the inability to turn off charging and remove cable w/o app or original button makes it less useful

Works well, the only complaint i have is that it doesn't extend the button thar opens the charge port door. You have to use the tesla app to open it and unlock the connector to remove it. I also wish it had some kind of cover for the point where the two connections meet. I use the carring case for that currently.

Other than doing exactly as advertised, the only issues I've had were that the plug end fits a bit tight and it does not have a functional button on it to trigger opening the charge port door. You could use the button from your original charger while plugged into the receiving end of the extension as an alternative, aside from using the car's screen or app.

My extension cord works fine. It gets me the length that I need so that I don't have to move other cars in my driveway to charge my vehicle.

This was perfect. I visit family and there are times when the charger is not easily accessible so this was perfect. The extra length made a huge difference!

Bought this because I needed the length to reach my tesla in the driveway. It worked fine until a few days. I realized that my car wasn't charging. Thank goodness I had other means to get to work ( Uber). When I decided to examine the extender cable, I realized that the wires had burned out. I'm happy that my tesla was not connected when this happened. I tried to disconnect the extension cable, but it could not be disconnected. So I have to replace both the tesla wall charger and the extender...SMH.

Cable adds 20 feet to Tesla wall connector cable. It is able to charge at the maximum rate of 11.5 kwh. The charger port needs to be unlocked with the Tesla app however.

Works like a charm. This is a great product. Made it way easier for us to charge our vehicle. The quality is top notch. Definitely recommend
