Sometimes is slow to connect or the Carplay screen is garbled. Usually exit Carplay and reconnect solves this issue. Once connected works great. Sound quality is almost the same as wired. There is about a 2sec delay changing songs. Overall I’m happy with it, works better than others I’ve tried.

Setup is pretty quick and easy. Works pretty well. As soon as the vehicle is turned on, it automatically connects to the last connected iPhone. I'd though say, the connection experience with multiple devices is not as seamless as I had expected it to be. For example, if its connected to two different iPhones then even if the person whose mobile was not connected last time steps into the car first, it connects to the last connected phone. Switching between two iPhones is a bit difficult. Its also sometime confusing because you go to iPhone's Bluetooth setting and click connect and it shows as Not Connected while its connected.

I’m someone who is smart enough to know that customer reviews are not trustworthy, yet I always read them and they do sway me, so I figure why not start doing it, too. I give this 5 stars even though it is not perfect. I read another review that talked about how sensitive the wired connection to the device is, and they were right. Don’t not mount this anywhere you may come in contact with the cord it’s connected to, it will restart most of the time. Also, maybe because it’s winter now, but it does take up to 15-20 seconds sometimes to pair with my phone. I don’t personally care about that, but you may. Other than that, it’s easy to use, small, and works well so far. Had it a month - 6 weeks or so. No issues. I didn’t think I’d care that much about wireless, just kind of wanted the option, but it’s so much more convenient.

The Rexing carplay wireless adapter is an easy plug and play solution that will turn your wired Carplay connection to wireless. It has a small footprint and it can be easily concealed within the center console. This adapter will work for vehicles that support Carplay with wired connection. According to the site this adapter will not work on BMW vehicles. I do not own a BMW so I was not able to confirm that. I can attest that it worked with my 2017 Audi. Setting it up was a breeze, just plug the adapter to the USB or USBC port of your vehicle, then connect your iPhone to the adapter via bluetooth and that's it. I really liked that this device supports both types of USB application USBA and C, and the manufacturer included both cables. The device has a USB-C connection, reset button, a light indicator and a microSD slot. The SD slot is for firmware updates. When it comes to the image display, it was actually good. A bit grainy but you have to look very close to even notice. The navigation on the screen was very responsive and fluid. After starting the vehicle the connection between the adapter and the phone was fast. Making phone calls, listening to music, and navigation work just as intended. You will not notice any difference from the wired connection. Overall this Rexing Carplay wireless adapter works like a charm. It will turn your old wired connection into a tether free. It has a compact design, is easy to setup and supports both types of USB connection. In the box you get the wireless adapter, two USB cables A and C and some manuals.

When it works, it’s great. Just like wireless CarPlay. Only issue is that sometimes, it doesn’t want to connect to my phone. Just have to unplug it and let it boot back up.

Works great great but I think a little to great .. when I get in my truck ..phone connects as it should .. but found that playing audio has delay .. and when close to my truck if I unlocked doors my phone would automatically jump to truck even when I didn’t want it to so it worked a little to good and got annoying so returned and just went back to hard wired connection

So i have a 2021 highlander. It works fine but not like you would want it too. Yes it mirrors apple carplay but there is a lag. My big problem with it is that it doesnt let me use my steering wheel controls. It lets me change my songs but im not able to use the volume controls. So yea it works but not the way you would want to.

so I have only used it for a short period so far. there is a slight delay however with that said it does do what it needs to do. it works and the device itself is light and small and fits well in small space.

I’m using this device in a 2019 Dodge Durango. I was able to pair it with my audio system whlie still in the Best Buy parking lot. The included instructions were easy to follow. A few issues do persist, If I just need to get something out of the car and I have my phone with me, the audio system will turn on and start playing whatever I was listening to last…odd. The device should completely disconnect when the car is in the “Off” position. I also have intermittent issues with using my steering wheel controls. I do plan to keep the device as the good points outweigh the bad.

Couldn’t be happier. My 2021 Toyota Tundra came with Apple CarPlay, but the Apple cord got annoying in about five minutes flat. Bought this and in about another five minutes, I was up and running wirelessly. I’ve experienced no quality issues, no lag, and it automatically reconnects each and every time I start the truck. What more could you want out of this device. Simple technology for a change.

As you would see from other reviews, this is one of the best solutions out there for wireless car play. Landed on this one after trying several other options and I am never looking for another dongle anymore. The connection is seamless and relatively has lesser lag compared to other dongles in the market. The pricing is certainly steep compared to others but I would take a quality product anyday to cheaper knockoffs that constantly break after a short use.

I wanted to like this adaptor. I went with this adapter because it was pricier so i figured it would be better than some of the others i saw on amazon. Turns out this is not at all better. I returned it after trying it out for an entire week. First my steering wheel buttons didnt work, when i was on the phone my calls were delayed by about 20 seconds it was super annoying, and third the music cuts out which i could of dealt with if it didnt already have the previous issues. For the price tag this should be almost perfect. Not worth the money at all so i went with the carlinkit for $50 and it works so much better steering wheel works and my calls aren’t delayed.

When this works, it works! But when it doesn’t. . Extremely annoying. There will be times it just won’t connect even after turning car on and off or plugging device in and out of usb port. I desperately needed this device when going out of town that’s why I purchased but I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on this. I actually wish I could get mine back lol. It started acting up as soon as I got it. I thought it was due to travel but the issues still persisted. I still use it when possible but just holding out for being able to replace my entire system in my car.

Good deal item. Easy to setup and user friendly. Better then other brand that I used before.

I tried this and Aluratek's wireless carplay adapter, and this is definitely a winner, but not perfect either. feels like the wireless carplay adapters are still experimental. I definitely experience way less input delay on this one (2 seconds) compared to Aluratek's (4 seconds). Aluratek's adapter over heats and starts stuttering after 7 minutes of constant use until you gradually completely lose the connection after 3 more minutes. Rexing's adapter stuttered after 15 minutes of constant use, and finally lost connection after 2 more minutes. overheat is not noticeable since this one has an inner fan

Very impressed with this unit. Have it on a 2023 4Runner and it connects in about 5-10 seconds after car starts. Had very few connection issues, always fixed by unplugging and plugging back in. No lag on screen, audio is delayed very similar to Bluetooth audio connection. All steering wheel buttons function properly

Not the best, currently going to try a second unit because the unit disconnects from my radio and the music stops playing randomly even though the phone says the music is still playing through car play. Hoping it was just a bad unit, but so far not the best at all. It stays on after shutting off the car and my phone connects to it when I walk near the car so its pretty weird for sure in that regard. At times the steering wheel controls do not work with it so it is inconvenient for sure. Going to try a second one and see if the issues still happen.

The adapter worked fine the first time I used it. A couple of days later it flaked out and wouldn't connect to the car radio. On my iPhone, the adapter kept appearing and disappearing like it was resetting. Eventually the car radio had enough and gave up. I had to remove every carplay device from my car radio and iPhone and completely power down my car to get anything to connect again. When the adapter finally connected again, the audio was fine but the screen was completely garbled. I tried again a few days later and the adapter appeared to be working again. And sure enough, after a couple of days, the disconnects and garbled screen issues showed back up. I went to the Rexing firmware site mentioned in the manual to see if there was a firmware update. The page just says "coming soon". Since this was released quite a while ago, if appears as if it isn't going to get any support so it's going back to the store.
