This is simple to set up and works great. Connects automatically every time.

When the unit works, it works reasonably well. There is increased latency of about 3-5 seconds when using a device like this. The problem comes when it drops you and the unit consistently drops you on 5+ minute phone calls and other random times. This seems to be a characteristic of any of these aftermarket wireless products.

Could not connect to the 2016 GMC Canyon. The adapter shows up in the GMC carplay list of devices in the settings, and the iPhone 14 pro max is Bluetooth paired to the Rexing CarPlay adapter, but the GMC does not see a CarPlay device connected in the home screen menu. I called the support number at Rexing but it immediately rolls to a voicemail with no chance to speak with support. After leaving a message with a phone number for callback (8:00am central), I’ve yet to hear back from support 10 hours later. I went to Best Buy Geek Squad automotive support for help, but they also could not figure it out and just said I would have to contact Rexing myself. Not the response I was expecting as I am a Best Buy + (Total Tech Support) member. My advice is to skip this wireless CarPlay adapter (as was the advice from the Best Buy Geek Squad automotive tech that looked at it)

Adding new radios to cars is getting more and more difficult. Nowadays it might not even be possible. This allowed me to upgrade my 2018 Audi A4 with wireless carplay which is otherwise not possible. I love it and it works great.

Connects fast, sort of laggy. Sometimes it restarts and the volume doesn’t work. Works after unplugging and plugging back in. Decent at most.

Definitely makes cable management better. Only issue I would say inability to use the steering wheel contols

Great CarPlay wireless device! Install took less than a minute and has worked every time without any issues! I was concerned at first because there were no YouTube videos or reviews about this product, but it is one of the best out there and works flawlessly every time!

I love having wireless CarPlay now. This was so easy to set up. Connects quick, haven’t had an issue yet. If you are stuck with wired CarPlay check this adapter out you won’t be disappointed

Used this to turn the Alpine Apple Car Play system I had intalled in my older vehicle to wireless carplay. Works great and now I don’t necessarily have to plug my phone in evertime I get in my car.

Super easy to setup then it just works. I have been using for a month with no issues. Got a good sale price too.

It has it’s moments where it works perfectly fine and then it has its error out moments. Once you reset it when starting your car it works most of the time. There are times where the gps acts funky also. But for the most part it works.

This product works well. 30 seconds into starting my car it boots up. I havent had any major issues. I did experience a slight skip moment where the audio was jumpy and seemed like it wasnt connected right. But other than that it works great.

Give yourself a wireless upgrade. if you like Apple CarPlay, but don't want to plug-in your iPhone each time you get in the car, you'll love this device. I've been using it for 1.5 years and I love it. consistently works well. i like it so well, I've bought several Best Buy open-box deals to give as gifts and so I can ensure that my car will have wireless CarPlay for years to come.

When it worked, it was awesome. Wireless carplay is so much more convenient. In my car (2020 Nissan Rogue Sport SL) it didnt work nearly as often as it did. Returned after 2 weeks. Dont know if the issue is this product or is unique to how it interacts with Nissan software.

THIS… Is the Rexing CPW-1 Wireless CarPlay Adapter and it is a quick fix to make your cars wired Apple car play… WIRELESS!!! Gone are the days of plugging your phone in and waiting for Apple car play to load or heaven forbid you have a cable on its last life. This all sounds amazing, so lets cut into it! Setup ============== The setup is quite easy! I plug the product into my car (USB A for my car, comes with C if it is type C for your car) and plug it into the unit via USB C. From there, I connect to it in Bluetooth and BOOOM done. Works amazing and is just that easy. The setup was under 5 minutes and no curse words were said, would trust my mother to do it on her own (without calling me)! Ease of Use ============== This product works amazingly 95% of the time, the general day-to-day is amazing and there are only issues when you introduce them. Here are the two issues that I ran into - I unplugged the unit from my car and plugged it back in and I had to turn off my phone Bluetooth to reconnect it properly. It was a quick fix and is avoided by… not unplugging the unit lol. The second one only occurred once, my fiancé and I both are connected to the unit and every so often it would connect to her phone and not mine. Super easy to have her turn her phone Bluetooth off real quick and I just have to jump into settings and tap on it. All these issues are solved before I leave my neighborhood and the day-to-day life with the product is amazing and reliable. Conclusion ============== This product is great, works well, and is very reliable. My biggest issue here is that it is quite pricy, coming in over double the price of other products that do the exact same thing just as well. I already had a unit that was working as my wireless Apple car play and to be honest, they both work the exact same in the end. I think that while this is a good product, the price is the biggest stickler for me. I will recommend it because it is such a good reliable product, but I would also recommend the one I had prior to it at half the cost just as much. As always, BestBuy has excellent customer service and return policy, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?! ~~~SOMETHING TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY!!!~~~ -This product will have a few-second delay upon starting your vehicle, this is to allow time for the product to boot up and deploy the wireless apple carplay and also allow it to connect to your phone. Takes less than 15 seconds and most of the time I don’t even realize it was connecting before it is connected. This is unanimous across the industry for these products and one doesn’t really boot up faster than another… just slower. -12 month warranty that is extendable to 18 months with product registration. -The Rexing CPW-1 unit has a SD card slot on it, it is for firmware updates only -Does not state compatibility for Android Auto.
