I can’t believe they released such poorly implemented product. The 4k camera quality is beyond awful. I can’t even make out my next door neighbors car license plates which are less than 20 ft away from my driveway. When you view the video feed it starts high mbps and then it drops below 1mbps. I tried connecting via 2.4ghz due to range and that didn’t fix the issue. The RSSI was 54 for me so the signal strenght is good that it should not impact picture quality. Ring engineers should really consider reviewing this product because it clearly wasnt ‘t ready to be released. Also I have fiber internet and the router is one wall away from the camera. They need to release a firmware update asap to address this issue. If they do not then im going to be returning this.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras.

Ring devices with 4K video require at least 15 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 20 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.
