Movie was ok to watch. Kind of boring story to it.

The kids (6) enjoyed it ok, but as a parent, it was a movie that one time watching is enough. Considering a movie never only gets watched once, I wish I had passed on this one. Main complaint is that it was half over before it actually got started.

I have watched Rio in theater. And bought the Rio 2 for my new home theater. 3d quality is flawless. But, the movie and story goes I didn't find this as great as the part 1 movie. Disc is great technically.

Ho hum sequel to a surprisingly fun movie. Rio 2 is what sequels used to be: a quick excuse to cash in on a franchise. Kids will probably enjoy it but parents will be bored.

My family and I bought this title because we enjoyed the first rio movie, but I must say we all felt this one wasn't even half as good as the first rio movie

It's cute, it's colorful, it's musical, it's relies too much on simply being that. None of it fully developed.

its a sequel... so didnt expect a whole lot. did not care for it though... could have done so much more with it.

This is an okay movie. The plot line is pretty predictable, but the animation is pretty.

Rio 2 is half as good as Rio 1. I'd pass on buying this movie, catch it on cable for free first.

I have a PlayStation2 and tried to play this movie in there and it would not play at all.

Rio 2 is a cute movie but I would probably not buy it.

A note about me: I hadn't seen the movie before purchasing the BluRay/DVD/Digital Copy combo. I watched the BluRay disc and, as a result, all of my comments below will reflect the BluRay content unless otherwise noted. MOVIE & CONTENT: The movie is just as good as (if not better than) the first. The animation is crisp and colorful. The music gets you bouncing in your seat. The storyline is intriguing. There are a decent amount of bonus features worth watching (my favorite talks about the different forms of Brazilian music and recording artists within the movie. Highly recommended!) One bonus perk: I was able to redeem several different formats of the digital copy. There are 4 options to redeem the movie code, including iTunes and Flixster/UltraViolet. After going to the website and entering your code, you are given a choice of 4 options/formats for your digital copy. It is possible to simultaneously redeem a digital library copy in Flixster and a downloadable digital copy for iTunes devices using multiple web browsers. Whether that is intended, I'm not sure. But I'm glad I could! My movie/package also came with a secret clue to unlocking hidden levels in Rio's version of Angry Birds. While I don't play the game often, it adds a small value. PACKAGING: The items are in a typical BluRay case, one disc on each side when opened. Feels a little flimsy when opened because of the cutouts located behind the discs (probably to save weight and, therefor, shipping costs) but it's pretty solid when closed. There is no disc for the digital copy... just a piece of paper with a link where you can redeem your code. Also comes with a paperboard sleeve that goes over the case. If you purchase this item in store, watch for rips or wear along the bottom edge of the sleeve: I looked through about 10 before finding one with hardly any damage. (I like to keep my stuff in great condition.) OVERALL: A really cute movie with a good lesson wrapped in a nice multi-format movie bundle. Well worth the money!

I got this for my 4 year old. She absolutely loves it!

This movie compounds on the first and gives us more of our favorite family of birds in the Amazon. This is a great family film and has some wonderful cultural themes that children will pick up on. highly recommended.

It's a jungle out there for Blu, Jewel and their three kids after they're hurtled from Rio de Janeiro to the wilds of the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets his father-in-law.

Rio 2 is one of those few animated films that succeeds with a sequel by having it not rely on the formula of the first film. A fun and funny family-focused follow-up for flocks of fine feathered friends.

I got this for the music as much of for the story. I got a little annoyed that the majority of the movie was to make the "Father" Macaw look like the stereotypical bumbling, fool of a father. But the lesson of being oneself in the end made him the hero. Good visuals and always good music.

My kids watched the 1st Rio and were asking me over and over to watch the 2nd one. I finally purchased it and it was well worth it. They enjoyed it very much (and so did I) very cute and funny movie!

Most sequels aren't usually as good as the original movies, so I wasn't really surprised that I liked the first Rio movie better. But this one does have a good story line & diverse characters. I enjoyed the movie overall.
