Should be included in the all time Christmas movies

This movie is great for the whole family and not like many other movies. It has a unique story and is super cute

I was not impressed with the trailers for The Guardians, so I thought the movie was nothing special. It's a entertaining one that the whole family can enjoy. It had everything I ask for in a family film; an interesting story, good character development, emotion, action, a mystery, some scary parts, several funny parts, and a happy ending. My kids loved it and so did I. It was not the pinnacle for kids films, but it was really good and definitely worth watching. The animation was very good, the characters all had very distinct and charming personalities. What a great movie. Movies these days are either terrible, bad, good or really good. Most these days are nothing special. Well this one is an exception to the rule, it is GREAT AND SPECIAL. What a wonderful and spectacular film. If ever there was a film that was magical, it would be this one.

This was a very entertaining movie that can be enjoyed my members of the family of all ages.

Good movie. Different than what I expected but pleasantly surprised

Rise of the Guardians begins with you being introduced to Jack Frost. who wonders how he came to be who he is. Then, Jack is transported to the North Pole where he meets Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy and The Sandman. It is here Jack learns why he is who he is and what good he can do for people. We also meet the Boogeyman who wants to have his revenge on all the others and be the one that all the kids believe in. Without belief, would they all still exist? Jacl along with the others battle the boogeyman in a classic good vs evil kind of story. Rise of the Guardians is a great film that has lots of action, laughs and makes you want to see how it all ends. Fun for kids of all ages

Love the story, love the design. Totally puts a twist on all the fable and mythical characters of childhood. Its like a G rate Grimm Brothers cartoon...gritty, dark, and funny too. My family loves it! 3D is cool, but really forget I am watching it after awhile. May just not have enough effects. Or our brains see in 3D 360 all day, so it just gets use to it. My daughters like it, but still prefer 2D. Really the best 3D movies I have seen thus far are documentaries. A mix of live action and cgi models really are cool. Sorry, sidelined the original topic there. Bottomline movie is great, and because of this review I am getting extra points as a Rewards Member!! Can't be that.

The story, the 3D, and the characters makes for a great combination.

good movie god picture quality another good family mpvie

I went into this film with low expectations, and the only reason I picked it up at Best Buy is because it was on sale and I was desperately looking for some new 3D to watch. The story is what it is, and I'll just leave it at that. But, from a technical perspective, this is an absolutely stunning 3D presentation and features a brilliant Dolby TrueHD lossless soundtrack. If you're looking for a title to put your home theater through its paces, this one will do the trick.

I love this movie! and it is great for kids. It is a cool version of the various fairy tale characters. Great holiday movie IMO and the plot was adequate for kids as antagonist was the "boogyman." Nothing too scary for kids and well animated. I love the graphics. Wish the make a continuation of story. I saw this movie long before multiple times and now the price was low enough for me to own a copy.

As always, DreamWorks continues to produce great entertainment for the whole family. Rise of the Guardians is funny, brilliant and looks even more stunning in 3D! 3D movies are a big hit in our home and it's a shame that those of us who supported this tech are getting less and less material available to us. If you have and like 3D…continue to support it as long as you can…I've heard its huge overseas, so buying region free imports is still better than nothing. God Bless!

This is a family favorite movie. Found it in store on Christmas special that included Blu-ray, 3D, and the digital version as well as the standard version. Watched it in 3D, and while I am not a huge 3D fan in theaters, it was actually pretty fun to watch this with the family on the screen at home. If you haven't seen this movie, and like kid friendly family films, you should try this one. I suppose it could be a bit scarey for younger kids, but I think most can handle it well. Two thumbs up!

I purchase this for my 9 year old and he had already watched it and picked it for himself to rewatch so it was great to buy something for him that was already kid approved. Took all the guess work out of it and came with a free movie ticket offer on front so I took him to the movies to see HOME so win win bonus. I did not receive the ultraviolet code however did not know it came with one or received inside the movie case. Still great value regardless nephew loved it and great price.

This film really opened up to me a new perspective about what the holidays can be. It is wildly imaginative, charming and heartfelt with a surprising amount of good action too. From the scores of seasonal specials that already exist i urge you to take a look at this one and enjoy the ride it delivers. Rankin and Bass made a tv movie called "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus" which explored similar themes and it makes me glad to see Dreamworks tackle a similar story.
