The movie is great and it was on sale at best buy that included the digital HD copy of the movie as well with DVD and BlueRay. Now I know where to buy movies or at least check the movie before I do online shopping. Thanks Bestbuy

This film series has become one of my favorites over the last few years. This movie has a pretty sweet three-dimensional slip cover and comes with the Blu-ray, DVD, and the digital copy. Happy to own this.

The way this is both a reboot AND works as a prequel to the original APES franchise is brilliant. James Franco and John give believable and very moving performances. I love that this was released as a steelbook.

This is a great little film with good actors, a good story line, good cinematography and good special effects. You can't help but get emotionally involved with the characters. I also appreciated having the second disc with the extras.

I really enjoyed this movie when I saw it in the theater and recently purchased it to watch it again before seeing the sequel. The audio/video quality on this Blu-ray is good and I liked the commentaries and other special features.

This new generation take on this franchise is fantastic. The film is great. The movie bonus coupon for the 2014 Apes film was a nice bonus ! Great film making and a fantastic film. Ill be buying the next chapter when it comes out.

Although Cezar is entirely computer generated, I found myself connecting with him far deeper than I did for any of the human characters, likely due to Andy Serkis' impeccable motion capture performance.

This reboot is definitely worth adding to the collection. Visual effects are great and James Franco gives a great performance. The steelbook is edition to get over the standard dvd and Blu-ray.

When I first heard that there was going to be a new Planet of the Apes, it was somewhere towards hesitancy. However, this new version was well done, and great to rewatch as the sequel was released last year. This purchase was actually a gift for a friend, and they loved it all the same.

This prequel explains this well known story very well. Another example of man experimenting with mother nature and producing catastrophic results. It also ties in very well to what we know will happen in the future based on the other films. Quality video and sound of this disc was excellent.

Very Entertaining Movie. Good storyline, and for someone like me who grew up with original Planet of the Apes saga, gives a great hypothesis of how the apes became intelligent

I was skeptical when they re-booted this successful classic film series but much to my surprise the current versions have proven to be just as good as and perhaps even better than the old originals.

Great digital effects. This explanation for how the apes came to rule does not appear in the original franchise and is a refreshing new take on how it might occur. Lots of great fun.

I never was a big fan of the original Planet of the Apes films and the 2001 remake was horrible, in my opinion. This reboot on the other hand is really great! I enjoyed the acting, story and the CG apes are top notch.

I think this version is good in its own right. It has a lot of the mystery and excitement as the original series and can be watched without making you feel like you're watching a remake. Then you can enjoy all versions.

My son wanted to see the first two Planet of the Apes movies prior to seeing the new one in theatres. This was a good deal for $8.00 and it comes with Digital. Movie is great and entertaining.

I saw this after seeing the sequel, but they are two very different types of movies. While this one isn't action packed like the other one, it's still a spectacular movie and very interesting.

The action and acting in this second installment of the reboot, although seemed to not get the same positive critic's opinion as the first one did - I was not disappointed in the movie. I liked it, liked it a lot!

The prequel and first glimpse at just how our world would eventually become dominated by talking apes. A must have for a fan of the original 60s classic Planet of the Apes or if you are just getting into the series.
