I enjoyed the older planet of the apes. I was reluctant to watch this for fear that it would make a mockery of the original. This movie did no such thing and was extremely entertaining as well.

If you are looking for a movie that shows the power of love between man and beast, this one will warm your heart. If you show love when it counts, it will be returned in a big way.

Action from beginning to the end. Movie scenes and plot were not predictable. Movie actually shows how the apes, monkeys, etc., actually became intelligent and how they used that intellect and knowledge to liberate themselves from "Man". Movie shows how it all got started.

Very reasonably priced steelbook for the movie! This has a matte finish which is something that never bothered me. Many people prefer gloss finish but matte is frequently less susceptible to scratches and the like. Features inside artwork as well!

I'd been waiting for both Planet of the Apes movies to drop in price and be available for Digital Download/VUDU. BestBuy had a nice sale to grab them both - prior to the upcoming movie! :-)

Another science experiment goes horribly wrong scenario - too many movies in this genre to count...but this one is a psuedo pre-quel of the great Planet of the Apes Charleton Heston classic. It had its moments.

Excellent modern re-tell. It's amazing that in the process of looking for a cure we actually genetically alter another species mind, which ends up being the downfall for the current prominent species, humans.

I really loved this movie. You really feel heartache for all the characters INCLUDING the apes in this movie. This a must see if you enjoy the entire planet of the apes franchise.

Very good movies my family love it ,I try to convince my neighbour to watch it, he was skeptical at first but after he watched it ,it totally blew his mind he was surprise how good it is .

I have seen the movies from the 50's or 60's and then the remake a few years back, and this movie was the best of them all. I can watch this movie anytime!

I'd seen the movie in a theater and liked it. Best Buy had in on Blu Ray for 7.99 with 8.00 free movie money to see the sequel. I saw the sequel at a matinee for 7.50 so I got the DVD basically for free!

Good movie! I first watched this to give it a chance, and it surpassed my expectations. I really liked how it left a sequel open for the future. Believable!

My husband collects movies and we added this blu ray to our lot recently. I do not typically watch these kinds of movies but decided to give this a chance. Pretty good story, acting and special effects.

The follow up to the first prequel in the Planet of the Apes movie is just as good as the it's predecessor. The action is awesome, the story is coherent and well plotted and the acting is strong.

This is the best movie I have ever seen. It is wonderfully plot smart and the special effects are amazing. I recommend that you buy it on Blueray as you do not want to skip on all the behind the scenes.

When I saw James Franco was in this movie I didn't know If he could handke such a serious role but he did pretty good and the movie just followed . I enjoyed this movie as well as the rest of the trilogy. Just very well done

I was not optimistic about the release of a new Planet of the Apes movie. My instincts were wrong. This is an exceptional movie. The sequel to this movie (released summer 2014) is also a fine movie.

This is a great reboot of the original series, it follows it's own path to pay homage to the cinematic classic. The effects to this film is breath taking and it was a great emotional roller coaster.

Bought this to catch up before watching the sequel in the theatre. This was a surprisingly good reboot of the cult series, much better than the feeble attempt from about 10 years ago. Made me excited to see the sequel, which was also not a disappointment!
