I wanted to rewatch the first 2 movies in time for the new movie release! Got movies on sale and also a free ticket to see the new one. The movie paid for itself!

Even though it is nothing like the original movies, the story/plot line is great. It covers the 2nd phase of how the apes take over the planet and why as in the original, Caesar is the leader and who they worship in the original movies.

When it was first revealed they would do a prequel to the apes movies, i was hesitant. But man what a pleasant surprise this way. Great effects and an actually good story. If you have been putting this off, do not put it off any longer.

A reboot/prequel that does a great job of setting up what is to come in other Planet of the Apes movies. Even works as a standalone film because of how it ends.

The second in the series is great extension of the story and a lot of fun. Expands on the Apes lore with great depth of perception. I really loved this film.

Loved the original Planet of the Apes as a kid. This new retelling is well done, and Andy Serkis should have been nominated for major awards. Nice shout outs to the original in the dialog. "Its a madhouse! A madhouse!"

As far as franchises go, who doesn't like Planet of the Apes of any kind? Granted, the classics was good at the time, but now it's even better. Looks more realistic and believable.

When this movie first came out I was kind of really again, but I tell you , the action in this movie is great along with the acting, and what's cool is I no this is cgi but the effects in this looks so real..pick it up

Saw this when it was in theaters and then bought the DVD. I recently purchased a Blu-ray player and ended up buying this at a great price. I love the movie even better on Blu-ray!!

Great modern day twist of the original planet of the apes. Loved that it had more one on interaction between man and ape. Love the cinematography!!! Plot was good and acting was good.

This is a great reboot of the old Planet of the Apes franchise. The story is amazing and the movie looks fantastic on Blu-Ray. One of my all time favorite movies.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a wonderful film, and decided to get it in the Steelbook packaging which is very cool and study. A nice piece for steelbook fans

I love this reboot of the franchise. I love how James Franco’s character is a father figure to Ceaser, and it’s a great movie to start a great trilogy.

Andy did a fantastic job playing as ceaser the ape. This movie is great for a family night. Worth buying and I recommend everyone to buy it and watch it.

This movie had a surprising amount of feeling to it, and that is a good thing. I was a little disappointed in the action though, it started off pretty slow before it got good. Now that I've seen this, I can go watch the new one!

I highly recommend this movie to watch. The family was amazed of the great work that the actors played. The movie quality and sound is amazing!

This was a big surprise for me in 2011. Love the POTA series but was not really looking forward to this one. I sure was surprised. This is a great intro to the prequel series.

Rise of the planet of the apes in 4k, a must have if you like the series. Highly recommended.

As a fan of the old series, it was great to see a fresh version that fills in some of the blanks. The special effects are so outstanding, that my wife is still freaked out how realistic the apes appear to be!

This was out of stock for a little while but Best Buy always restocks quicker than all the other stores so I go here first to look for my movies!!
