This is a family favorite. My daughter loves it and calls it the "monkey moosie (movie)". They did a great job making it modern and I'm a huge fan of Andy Serkis.

I love these movies and wanted to purchase the first one when the sequel came out. Best Buy had a great price that included the UV copy so I couldn't pass it up.

I never saw the original planet of the apes, but it seems for a different generation like mine, this movie is likely to be more enjoyable than the old one. Not a huge fan of James Franco, but he is good for this role.

This is an entertaining new take on the Planet of the Apes franchise. At times it tries too hard to make direct connections to the original (with reproduced scenes and dialogue), but that can be overlooked.

Liked the story line and the interplay between the characters. Special effects were well done. Great back story for the continuation of the Planet of the Apes saga.

Seen this in theaters and the sequel I must say that the movie was outstanding. This is the steelbook addition which is a must for steelbook collectors.

Good movie, well made.... But somehow it just didn't have the same impact as when the Planet of the Apes movies were originally released. Hollywood is recycling all the good movies that were made previously.
