I loved both the movies. Loved the originals so was pleasantly surprised. Usually when they remake stuff they r never as good as the originals.

I'm a fan of all the ape movies and enjoyed the reboot. The originals meant something else to a different time. This is an ape franchise for a current time.

First rate science-fiction, superior script. Fine performances. great score. Excellent direction and editing. It stands on it's apart from the earlier series.

These movies are so much more realistic and and easier to relate to than the originals. I highly recommend that you see the entire series

Was never a fan of the old movies so was a bit hesitant to start with this, but based on recommendations, I watch and was not disappointed. I watch movies to be entertained and do not analyze them in detail.

Remakes usually suck but Rise.. broke the mold with it's a revamped and retelling of the Planet of the apes story. PS the steelbook is awesome

I really enjoyed the story to make it as believable as it can be. I also liked the story as being for actual apes genetically mutated rather than human-apes.

I watched this just before going to see Dawn. I loved the setup and the ape characters that were brought to life. This will be one of my favorite franchises.

This "origin" story for the remade Apes franchise is well executed and truly moving. The only criticism would be that apart from the principals some roles of the different simians are cliched as types.

This is a rare case where the new movies are better than the old. I've seen all the original P.O.A. movies and this new series is very well done.

If you love the planet of the apes, then you’ll enjoy this new series! Definitely start with this one! Also this Blu-ray was a good price deal!

I enjoyed the original movies, felt so-so about the Tim Burton version, and absolutely loved this one and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

When I first saw this movie my expectations weren't too high but I was blown away on how much I loved this movie after I saw it would buy again

I really enjoyed see this "prologue" to the Planet of the Apes movies. With the technology available I think they did a great job of showing the evolution of the apes. I'm looking forward to the next movie!

I grow up watching the planet of the apes. When the movies came out it must a must see. Both moves were really good and a must have for my collection.
