Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a fantastic revival of the classic films. Powerful, engaging, and visually breathtaking. Not to be missed!

I am not into these movies. Totally got into this at the airport one day, had to buy it after that. Totally worth it.

This movie lays the foundation for what seems to be at least a trilogy and gives a good understanding leading into the 2nd movie. Very good plot and dramatic scenes come off as realistic.

I am admittedly jaded when it comes to this movie, as I am such a big fan of the original. In my opinion, this didn't hold a candle to the original. Too many lame references to the original (although not as many as in the Burton disaster), and the CGI was atrocious. Fine for a time-waster, or for a generation that NEEDS to have special effects and CGI in their movies. I bought it because I got enough Movie Money on the package to cover the cost of seeing the sequel in the theater (don't get me started on the 800 lb. orangutans on horseback!).

Part of the Planet of the Apes trilogy. Entertaining and fun to watch. Interesting story.

Big fan of the talking ape and what better way to watch them than in 4K? Great movie and with 4K HDR, it's even better.

These movies are slept on. From Rise straight through to War, these movies are excellent!!

I liked this movie it really has a different essence with respect the old movies, is moving faster.

I actually got stuck in a traffic jam on the Golden Gate Bridge and started to wonder how I would escape if the apes came.

I was a fan of the original Planet of the Apes movies ... you know, the ones that had humans in ape suits pretending to be apes? This one uses real apes, so it is so much more authentic.

This first movie in the updated planet of the apes movies has enough easter eggs for fans of the old movies but you don't need to know anything to enjoy the movie.

Wow just wow , every enjoyable and a good save to the series than that disastrous 2001 reboot ...this is a reboot of a reboot done right .

When I heard the series was going to be rebooted, i was skeptical. but this movie was a good first start to the new path. it was entertaining and i'm looking forward to the next ones

Awesome movie. It looked pretty good in 4k version. Love these planet of the ape series. Never gets old.

A good movie. I really liked the second one more, Dawn, which I will also be buying. Wanted to have this one to complete the set. Getting it so cheaply on Black Friday was a big plus!
