I have a big family so we watch a lot of dvds at home Friday night is movie night. we love watching movies at home a lot cheaper than going to the movies.

Astounding visuals, great CG. The CG apes are the entire reason to see this film. The james franco parts are a little dull, but the majority of the film is Andy Serkis as a very believable and compelling Character arc. Great film.

This movie is fantastic on so many levels, the characters, the story, the special fx's, it all comes together to make a great movie. Worth every cent!

I would recommend this movie to anyone. I think this is the best planet of the apps movie i've ever seen. I would also say its a great family movie.

I have been a fan of the Planet of the Apes since I was a little kid. I have watched all of the various incarnations including the television series and the Saturday morning cartoon. This is one of the best POTA films released, rivaled only by the original POTA and Escape from the POTA.

If you haven't seen this reimagining of the classic film series, do yourself a favor and check it out now. The effects on the CG apes are amazing and the motion capture performances are filled with emotion and nuance. And in my book, John Lithgow is always a plus!

The movie has amazing graphics, with great performances by human and ape alike. The movie sets up the second film while being a great film in and of it self. Excited to see the second film

Best "Planet of the Apes" movie since the original back in the 60's Andy Serkis is a force of nature...even through all the perfectly rendered CGI. Tremendously well told story.

I liked this movie a lot and it's a great start to a new series of movies. Does a good job with the origin story that even the original movies didn't have. Some great special effects and a good surprise or two makes for a fun time!

This really a good movie is more credible how this Ape thing started. Kind of slow in the begging but is part of understading the movie all the action comes tower the end great movie overall.

Story Line is great, Special Effects are amazing! Good for all ages, if you have watched the 2014 movie, you should have seen this one first. This movie should have won an Emmy

I bought this movie, just to see how close to the originals it would be. It stood on its own. It keep your interest from beginning to end.

If you want to see wonderful CGI, then grab this Blu Ray. If you've ever been a fan of the planet of the apes movies, you'll enjoy this. Ends perfectly for future installments (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes coming soon)

This is a fascinating take on the "Planet of the Apes" story which really makes the CGI Ape, Caesar, the star of the movie. I'll be interested to see where the writers take the franchise in upcoming sequels.

I was reluctant to see this movie but OMG it was awesome. I told everyone to see it and they loved it. Purchased Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Blu Ray...great price.

i love this movie. great acting and very well put together. on blu ray it looks and sounds stunning. def suggest this movie compared to the marky mark version.

I really enjoyed this movie! This movie was on sale for under $5! You can't beat that price especially since the Digital HD copy is included!

My son said the effects in the movie actually looked good and because he liked the original at the movies I bought it for him as a gift.

I got it because of the option to have a physical copy as well a digital copy I can carry around in my iPad. This was a really nice movie!

I actually liked this movie more than the sequel although they are both movies worth watching if you like sci-fy or just remember watching the TV show or movies when you were growing up.
