Good in theory
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to be on the road quite a bit and needed a bluetooth device for car for business. This was recommended to me by salesmen at Best Buy so I took them at their word. Easily paired with my phone as well as husband's and sound quality was OK (but not great). The problem arose when it would not turn on. A few days later it came on when I got in the car (as it is supposed to do), a few days later - did not come on. This cycle continued with no explanation, so I contacted Motorola Support, which I am convinced is a total joke. Talked to several different people, as well as online communication, but bottom line is product is inferior and after 3 months getting nowhere with Motorola I guess I have to chalk it up to live and learn, and I'm out about $100.

Terrible Quality, nice design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This looked like a decent product. It's a nice compact design. I have been wanting something like this with an fm transmitter, but this device is not that great. Upon testing music streaming the sound was horrible. It xam out clear but wasn't that high in quality more so it doesn't seem seem to like loud music like when i played Follow by Breaking Benjamin it would quiet down the bridges and Chorus so it didn't sound that good like it does with an aux. When I made a call, I was cutting out a lot. It made it sound like I was trying to talk underwater as it was described to me. Other than that, it seemed ok. I drive trucks so I dint know know if it was trying to cut out the louder background noise too much inherent in trucks compared to a car.

Does what it says it does!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't wrote a BB review in a while now. I hope this helps anyone trying to buy this product. Motorola Roadster 2 does exactly what it says it does, but when it comes to quality not so much. Maybe my expectations were too high but I wanted this for music and talk occasionally. The music is terrible on this on thing, especially when you code your music to be high quality. I didn't want to get an after market CD player but it seems that's what i'm going to have to do if I want some quality sounding music. For the none quality person, this thing does what it was designed to do. You wouldn't complain to the music dips in and out. Or voice calls for that matter when played over the FM transmitter. For those wanting hands free this is perfect. For those expecting that and quality keep researching or just get an after market CD player. With current tech it maybe the only option.

Are you in a wind tunnel?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A product like this should be simple. It should just work. I dont need a lot of fancy features or shiny buttons. I just want to be able to make calls. Call quality should be the #1 priority on a device like this. It was easy to set up with my iPhone 4S but the call quality was terrible. I tried on three seperate occassions to use this for a conference call while driving. My car rides pretty smooth but the people on the other end said it sounded like I had my windows down. I tried changing where in the car it was (moved from the visor to the dashboard and passenger seat) but it didnt get any better. Nothing makes you look like a professional like a conference call in a wind tunnel. It was embarrassing. I returned this and will do better research to find something that isnt terrible.

Listen to Reviews Not Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2012 Christmas. For my Wife. When receiving a call you say "ANSWER" it would answer. WhenTalking to someone the person on the other end could not hear what you were saying! Sounded like you had your head in a bucket or your phone was across the room on speaker phone.. She would have to hang up and call back w/o the Roadster 2.The FM part of it worked ok, but This is NOT what I bought it for. The Car Locater part of this device only works with an Android Phone not an iPhone. That's ok as in 41 years of driving I have never lost my car! I took it back and got my money back as I didn't want to take a chance that the second one would or would not work as well.

Excellant concept - Poor sound quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked the concept of this device, and the sound quality on my end was good. However, everyone that I spoke with said that I sounded muffled and they could not understand me. I contacted Motorola and they had me unpair my phone and start again. It seemed better at first, but soon went back to the muffled voice. I returned the original and got a replacement (because I really wanted this to work well), but unfortunately the second one was no better. I returned it today and am trying another brand.

Dont bother
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first one worked ok for a few days and the FM started to go intermittent. Returned it for a new one which worked for two days and died. Third one died after one day. Annoying voice commands every time it starts up. Takes about 15 seconds for all the voice announcements to finish before you get music.
