I was paying $110 + per month. Now I have Hulu & Netflix with my TIVO and am spending less than $20 per month. Great equipment to record and search for a multitude of shows.

In my effort to cut my cable tv bill I decided to try one of these out. Having already purchased an Apple TV and a Samsung smart tv, I still was not educated on the lack of Roamio's streaming capabilities, neither was I familiar with MoCa networking, along with its advantages. Finally upon comparison of streaming apps through the Roamio vs my Smart Tv, there seemed to be noticeable quality difference. The Roamio looks "cheaper" in comparison to the Samsung. But, for the money I am saving (I purchased a lifetime Roamio feature package) along with a TiVo Mini for remote room viewing, I can deal with it just fine.

This product has been worth canceling my direct tv. It works perfectly. I can watch my shows when its convenient for me. It shows upcoming shows and is easy to understand.

Love the ease of use and recording adding the Tv suggestion items gives you a chance to watch shows you might have missed

As a new cord cutter, having a DVR is essential. I bought this TiVo because it doesn't have any monthly fees and it works great.

I bought this for my parents and they say it’s a great option to record over the air programs and allowed them to save money not paying for cable

Our Romario worked for a few weeks then took a turn for the worst. The Off shore customer service is the worst. They sent me another replacement machine with the same problem. Took forever to figure out how to return the one they sent me so I could return the original to Best Buy. After all was aid and done I made the decision to NOT give any of my money to the TiVo Company.

So much so, that I got this for a birthday present for a family member. I've got 2 Tivo units (Roamio, and a Bolt), and love how easy to use they are. You can get all your OTA channels, netflix, amazon prime, vudu, yahoo, and more in one device. Guide interface is intuitive, snappy response time, and easy to read. I saw a deal on the Roamio's here at BBY, and decided to pick one up as a gift. Got it set up for the family member and they cut the cord (went OTA). Saved them almost $100/month in doing so. These units are great. Reliable, quiet, and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Able to record multiple shows at once from my antenna. Channel skip was bonus and even though it is manual, it works great. I have always liked TIVO's products.

It works as I suspected & I love not having a cable bill any longer. I'm about 40 miles W of Chicago & my attic antenna get's me all my local channels clear as my cable service that I had w/Comcast. I bought the Tivo OTA for the DVR capability. It records everything very easily. I have noticed some of the live & DVR recordings a little jumpy & pixilated from time to time, but I just unplugged the Tivo & it went away. Other online reviews indicate that issue could be cause by a failing hard drive inside the Tivo. Only time will tell, but goodbye cable bills!

I wanted to watch TV and not have to pay almost $200/month for cable TV. I thought I would try this on a TV in a spare room, just to see if it works. I had issue because the room was not picking up many stations, although it did capture the main local stations. Once I moved it to the TV with the internet connected I was able to get more channels and also Netflix, Amazon, etc. I am happy with the channels I receive and won't miss my high cable bill!

The TiVo Romeo OTA was simple to set up. I got the lifetime TV guide for the lifetime of my device; a little high but well worth it! THeTV guide is very nice.

I usually get very impatient setting up technical equipment. The instructions were very simple and easy to follow. I was able to complete without any issues.

This box allowed the freedom to cut off our satellite service. At least 80% of the shows we recorded can now be done for free over the air using the tivo.

I got tired of paying $150/mo for cable and already paid for my Tivo Raomio with the savings. I am happy with it and it is easy to use. It has a great feature that shows you how strong the signal is for each channel. My favorite feature is the channel skip - it is wonderful. My only complaint is that even if a show comes through perfectly clear when watching live, it may not record as well. Make sure you have a good outdoor antenna.

My first ever DVR was a Tivo through Direct TV so after switching to cable their dvd just wasn't as nice or intuitive as Tivo. I am thankful to have an OTA version and this DVR works great! My ONLY disappointment is the remote. I wish it were backlit and that the buttons weren't so small. Years ago Tivo offered a large button remote but that is no longer the case. But if you don't need reading glasses I love everything about a Tivo DVR.

Since my senior citizen father lives with me, cord cutting took a LOT of research. He records a lot of programs, so I needed something similar to our cable set up in order for him to use it. The Tivo Roamio OTA fit the bill - the remote is very similar to cable box remotes, and the schedule looks similar, too. Plus the space for the programs! I'm especially happy with the fact that so many of my streaming choices are available as apps - Netflix, Hulu, HBO, YouTube (although I do wish they had a Sling app), and tons of others.

I've wanted to cut the cable TV cord for some time. The TiVo OTA 1tb DVR was perfect. Best of all no subscription fee. Great unit so far.

We were remodeling our home and decided to try cutting the cord while we were at it. We bought a Tivo Roamio for our bedroom and two tivo Minis, one for the kitchen and another for the family room. The combination of a rooftop antenna with great reception and netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO GO is definitely better than cable and cheaper than just the rental fees for three cable boxes would be. Definitely never going back to cable! Thanks Tivo!

I was a little leary about plunking down $400 in order to attempt to cut the cord, but after putting this Tivo unit thru the paces for the past month I am happy I made the purchase. The guide and remote is much more intuitive then satellites or cable. Cost a bit on the front end but will save me a lot over the long term!
