TiVo has long been the gold standard for DVRs. Synonymous with recording television programming. Everyone says I will TiVo it, even when they have cable box from their television provider. The user interface is the best in the business. Cloud PVRs are here, but the interface is nowhere near what TiVo has to offer. Time shifting sports is a must for me!

If you are looking to ditch your cable plan but still want all the functions of your DVR then this is the unit for you. Takes a bit to get it set up and registered. Would recommend you spend some time on Tivo's site watching their videos. It will help you understand the menu system better. I was reluctant at first to purchase this system but am glad I did.

Works great, worth every penny. Very easy to use. User friendly

The remote control is a bit awkward, in that there are two sets of "arrow" keys. It is a bit confusing which set to use for a particular need, and different Apps have different ways of doing a task, But I acknowledge there are difficulties in how to get INFO about a program in "My Shows" and various Apps (such as HULU, AMAZON, NETFLIX, etc.)

Easy to use, a must have. Nice to have pause and rewind again.

I put a ANTOP flat panel antenna in my attic with a PCT-MAB-F14P distribution amp to feed my coax runs. The Roamio OTA receives all the surrounding stations I was interested in. The channel guide works great and I love the skip feature for watching recorded shows. I really like having the channel guide without any monthly fees.

If you are cutting the cable, TIVO is the best alternative. I recommend that you get the Tivo with the lifetime service. It is a one time up-front payment for the service versus the $14.99 on-going monthly fee. Tivo records shows as well as connects to wi-fi for streaming.

Overall good product. Set up was a bit tricky. during the setup if you choose a wifi network and it does not connect, there is no way to change the wifi network during the set up process. Ended up resetting to default which was a long confusing call to tech support. I like the Tivo and once it was finally set up all is well.

My wife and I realized that most of our favorite shows that we record on our ATT U-verse DVR are broadcast on network television. So, we bought the TIVO along with a powered indoor antenna. We are going to unplug U-verse next week. This will save us over $100 per month which pays for the TIVO in just a few months. A great investment for us.

Bought this as part of our cord cutting plan. Between our online services like amazon, netfilx, ect... and this we don't miss a thing. Honestly I think we have better and more expanded content compared to what the cable company provided. There are just so many great things about this unit. check it out. You won't be disappointed.

We have used TiVo a long time and like the lifetime service. The only difficulty is it needs a wifi connection for one-pass management. We get our wifi from an iPhone hotspot, so we can't have a constant connection. We are learning to connect to TiVo service whenever the hotspot is on, and do any programming searches at that time.

Bar none! And I tried everything. TiVo never disappoints

I have several DVRs but this one is great because it can record 4 shows at once and records to a hard drive with 1 TB of data storage. I am happy with my purchase. The only thing I haven't figured out is the quick mode. The quality of the recording is great.

TIVO Roamio has been excellent. Cut the cord on my cable and replaced with some streaming services. Roamio does not require a monthly service fee; so after a short period I have recouped my investment. Schedule and make changes anywhere with my tablet or computer. Well worth the cost.

If you are able to receive broadcast stations by an antenna (ABC, CBS, PBS, NBC....) this is the ticket for free entertainment. You watch it at your choice of time. of the day. It is a cord cutters delight! Also, using the Tivo app on your tablet or phone allows you to select programming when you are not at home.

Bought this from BB 99 days ago. And suddenly the fan started making a loud buzzing noise.. Sounds like a bearing.. So called support, and they informed me that my Warranty was expired (by 9days), and it would be $149.00 to repair. Apparently the 1 year parts coverage doesn't mean anything. He said even if it was covered under warranty it would still be a $49.00 shipping cost. That is outrageous so just beware if you have a issue, most likely the cheap fan, it will cost you. Going to see if I can find a fan on the web somewhere.. How disappointed in TIVO. GREAT product till it breaks.

We were using Direct tv to watch mostly local channels and to record programs. DIRECT TV kept raising the charge so we dropped them and started watching the same channels free with an antenna. Then we bought Tivo Roamio which has no monthly charge and it works great. Were very satisfied with this unit.
