I don't need cable, and it's all in HD with an hd antenna

Good for OTA TV, not so good if you want to use the apps that come with it too. Had planned to use plex with it as advertised, but it was too slow to be useable. The TV part itself was good, just expected more from the apps as it advertises. Ended up returning.

The Best DVR you can buy. It just works plain and simple.

This is product is great. There was no membership fee.

Tried the Roamio OTA model and had issue with stretching the image on the corners so Best Buy was kind enough to take it back and let me switch with VOX. I think it was a defect with this DVR only.

WHILE i BELIEVE IT WILL WORK GREAT I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS GETTING IT TO WORK COMPLETELY AND I AM STILL WORKING ON ALL OF THEM. THEY ARE THE ANTENNA CONNECTION AND WIFI POWER.

This was good and all, but way overpriced. I instead just bought a cheap HD antenna and record stuff over PLEX. Much cheaper.

i'm not super impressed with this item, not tivo's fault. It records over the air signals. My problem is with getting a good signal from my antenna.

Good product but I couldn’t get it to work with my parents’ analog cable system. Best Buy’s return policy is excellent.

To early to really tell. Expensive item though. It makes a humming noise all the time. Annoying. Had to be reset once already.

I had high hopes for this but I could not get it to work. I could never get it through the complete setup. I spent 2 ½ hours on the phone with support, but as I told them, if you do the same thing over & over you can't expect a difference outcome. They never had any other ideas or suggestions so after 3 days I returned it and will try another system.

The Roamio works OK , I also purchased a Mini that does not work. Tech support no help.

Needed a DVR to record cable programs when we were out. The TiVo was easy to install and it walked you through the initial set-up and programming. Should have bought one of these years ago.

Could not active the TiVo roaming OTA 1TB. After spending over 3 hrs on the phone with TiVo customer service, they said the box was bad. I returned it and bought a Channel Master 1TB DVR. Works perfect and had it set up and running in less than 10 minutes. The TiVo activation process is horrible, I would not recommend it.

The image would stretch on the sides and Netflix and Vudu Apps would crash. Had to return it.

The image was not up to par. Washed-out colors, unfocused.

Had an earlier gen TiVo Roamio which was okay, but got tired of the monthly service fee charged for OTA, cancelled. But, this unit with the one time service fee included is great! Plus, the bells and whistles have gotten a lot better the last several years. In particular, we like the TV guide that integrates with Apps, to provide a pecking order of available shows we like. Also, the receiver is a lot better than the earlier TiVo Roamio. We are able to get the OTA channels with this unit, exactly as the receiver on our Samsung TV. Picture quality also seems to be richer too. A LOT of fun and potential here!
