I loved the original, so I was very skeptical about the remake. Fortunately, they changed the story and message enough to make it work.

The thing with remakes is that I get optimistic because of the upgrades in special effects. While the ED-209 in this movie is amazing, what I don't think this remake of the original got right was some of the social commentary that came through with the original. Respectable but in my opinion underutilized talent on this film. Could have been a lot better. Still plays well at home and there's a lot worse out there.

Not quite as deep-reaching with the metaphors as Verhoeven's '87 original, but still fun. The toned-down violence, though, makes it feel as though it's being peddled to the lowest common denominator. Makes me think they new what they had wouldn't stand up too well against the original. Feature-wise, the set doesn't feature a treasure trove of supplementals, but then, you're not really looking for that with this movie.

Another great update of a great classic action film. For those who watched and enjoyed the original film it continues to entertain. agt.

I thoroughly enjoyed this remake of Robocop. This movie provides a refreshing near-future alternative, to the endless remakes of super-hero movies that have recently dominated the market. The story successfully describes the torment that a human might endure, if he found himself transformed into something mechanical. Lots of high-energy action scenes.

If you saw or a fan of the original you know the basic storyline. What is great is they did make changes to the "origin" story along with breathing life into the modern day business aspect of why this character would be around in todays world as compared to his 80s counterpart. If you liked the original you will find this one interesting and cool too!

This is a "remake" of the classic 1987 film. But while the name and basic plot is the same, this is a very different movie. It's set in the year 2028 where the Omnicorp company sells robot police to the U.S. military for use in countries overseas. But they are not allowed in the U.S. because Americans are paranoid about robots running law enforcement.

The movie is great, the graphics are awesome, however there were many changes to the story from the original, like the shootout leading to murphy becoming robocop doesnt happen. And they made some major changes to Lewis. Its a great movie, but i do not consider it a remake by any means, way to many changes, especially when involving Murphy's family.

When ever they make a reboot of a movie it's always missing something from the original movie but it's good as far a action movie goes.

The remake is really similar to the first movie, but the middle and end was different. Robocop style isn't not on par was the original.

This was a decent movie, although just didn't enthrall me the way the original did the first time. But still worth watching.

A good modern take of the classic robocop movie. It was good to see robocop become a modern movie but I am still fond of the original.

if you like the Robo Cop movies, but felt they went down hill after #1, then give one a try. It is much better than the overall series

It was hard not to compare it to the original. They changed a couple of things here and there but overall it was really well done.

I really enjoyed the action and story. This remake does what others fail to do, it is its own movie. Great special effects and action.

Yeah, I know, the line is from the original, but it encapsulates how I feel about this remake. It's well written and adequately directed. For a reboot of a classic franchise, it's not all that bad at all. There's not much to gush about in terms of the filmmaking, acting, and whatnot. The 2014 remake of "RoboCop" is a fine film on its own, and a nice, modern-day upgrade of an already good film in its own right.

I am a big fan of the RoboCop movies. I have all of them including the 4 part series. This one is right up there with the original. They reference things from the original and the Extras go into how they tried to pay homage to the original. Most involve behind the scenes were fans of the original. If you liked the original you will like this one.

I'm not a sci fi fan and am not super hyped up on action flicks either, but this movie was pretty good despite my personal tastes.

I was a little hesitant about a revamping of one of my favorite 80s movie but I was not disappointed and you won't be either.
