for this dongle I can say that it works straight out of the box sound is loud and clear(not that my integrated sound is any worst). I was just hoping for some extra clarity and distinct in sound and I think this does the trick. I was kinda forced to buy aditional headset hyper x cloud core for 60$ that had extension cable splitter included. I was just toss them on the side and go with mine already owned turtle beaches, but after putting them on .... so now I use hyper x. I did not try they pluging them in to PC straight because when something works well I dont care for home much more well, all thanks to this little Roccat Juke headset aplifier P.S. only reason I gave 4* is because of limited expirience with similar systems and I can not tell how well it works compared to better or lesser system. if I did not own this and knew about what I know from owning it I would buy it with out consideration.

It works unless it's a HyperX Headset

    Posted .

I didn't have a headset splitter, so I disconnected the microphone from my HyperX Headset and plugged it directly into the mic jack on the Juke. Plugged the headsets into the headphone jack. It worked like this for 3 months until I got tired of multiple cables of differing length. Got a splitter. Reconnected the mic to the headset, plugged the headset into the splitter, and the splitter into the Juke. Headphones worked, mic did not. Tried another splitter, same issue. Installed the drivers, same issue. Plugged the mic in direct again, it worked again. Connected the headset with the splitter to an old Turtle Beach AudioAdvantage I forgot about, and it worked just fine. Forums confirm over the years apparent HyperX and Juke having microphone issues is a known issue. So, if you have a HyperX headset, don't bother buying this product. Who knows what other headsets might be affected. That said, when it works it does what it's supposed to, which was helpful when the audio jack on my laptop died during the WFH craze earlier this year.

Fixed my missing sound on Laptop

This is exactly what I needed. It did what it said it would do with no problems. My laptop has been missing sound for sometime, most likely built-in sound board bit the dust. I bought this as a inexpensive fix and it worked beautifully. I just plugged it into the usb port and plugged a small speaker into the headset jack of the Roccat Juke. Now I have plenty of sound.

The sound card in my old, 2004, Dell Dimension 8300 died. After trying in vain to get old software for a new sound card, I discovered this option. I had no idea it even existed. My computer is running Win7 SP3 since it is so old, but I plugged it in, the computer detected it, installed drivers and voila - I had sound once again through the new Logitec speakers I also picked up. I had no issues or problems and it took all of 5 minutes to install and be up and running. I wish I had known about this a week ago. It would have spared me a lot of wasted time and aggravation messing around with an internal sound card with obsolete software. I highly recommend this product!

Has everything you can expect as advertised: it comes with software that has EQ and level adjustments; as well as all of the virtual 3D effects, and so its really a great value!

My DT audio jack didn't work....instead of opting for an internal more expensive card...I picked this up. I plugged it in a received great audio sound immediately. I am not using headphones, but bookshelf speakers with a subwoofer. All is well.

Bought this due to a laptop that was given to me did not have a mic input (or so i thought, but does). I could not get it to work with my HyperX Cloud Alpha headset. I found out that this device does not support headsets with digital mics. So make sure your headset has an analog mic if you buy this.

Couldn't get this to work. Tried connecting a Hyper X Stinger from the dual 3.5mm plugs into 6 different USB (ranging from 2.0 to 3.1) on my Windows 10 PC and never got anything but sound from the headset, but NEVER any reception from the microphone...which the entire reason for the purchase. Only reason it gets two starts is because it at least allowed playback.

The sound is really good but the mic port doesn't work at all even with adjusting my mic settings. Returning as it's worthless to me without a functioning mic.

There's no way to disable the hardware gain boost when using line-level input. I NEED clean audio separated from the main power buss (i.e., clean 5vdc).
