I love it! I've gone through several brands of gaming mice trying to find the right one for my needs and this one has fit the bill! I just had to get the matching keyboard to go with it and complete the look I wanted.

This is probably one of if not the nicest Mouse I’ve used. Both in a professional setting and for gaming, i’m familiar with microsoft, Razer, Steelseries, ect mice and though I did not know this brand going into the purchase, I must say it is very reputable. The packaging is much more professional than any of the listed above brands, and the mouse in quality is just as good. The cord is of incredible quality, using smooth braided wiring that pretty much no brands use bar Razer. Response is incredible, click speed is rocket fast and smooth. Rgb is what compliments this with any gaming setup, the software for control is a little confusing compared to other brands, however thats more of a taking time To used to rather than a downside. Cannot complain whatsoever.

do you like RGB mice!? then this is for you! Roccat Kone got what you need! Pros - the rgb design of this mice looks amazing, it can change to multiple colors on one section alone - the shape of this mice is fairly wide, would work best for people who have a much bigger hands - the scroll wheels also have the ability to be press side to side for future macro user. - there’s plus and minus sign button beside the wheels for you to adjust your DPI presets - a T1 , T2 and T3 button on your thumb reach for extra programmable settings, I currently use T1 and T3 for melee button and to use grenades during COD Warzone - Roccat Sworm software gives you the ability to adjust your DPi up to 5 custom settings - the software also have the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the scroll wheels vertical and horizontal button - using Aimo lighting will make this RBG shine, having other Roccat equipment will make aimo look amazing on your setup Cons - don’t like the fact that change DPI doesn’t show up as an alert on your screen, so you tend to forget which dpi you currently using, logitech have this feature so it will be nice for roccat to update swarm software that gives you an alert which dpi you switched into - the mice is fairly large for me, and my hand doesn’t feel comfortable, i’m already using a Logitech g502 and that’s already big enough for me, this alone mice is a tiny bit wider, not for me. not much negative things I could say about this mice, it has pretty RGB to look at and features button I mainly look for , for it being wider mice was the big downside for me, the mice pack a great weight but not as heavy compare to g502.

The Kone AIMO is a cool looking mouse. It is mostly made of a smooth plastic that feels premium. The design is certainly geared towards gamers. I especially like the gaps on the top which showcase the RGB lighting. The plastic does not easily attract fingerprints. The braided cable has a good length of a little less than 6ft. and looks strong and pliable. When it comes to ergonomics, this is a fairly big mouse that requires a full clam-style grip with extended finger reach. While a claw-style grip can be used, I found it to be a little tiring after a while, which may be due to my small hands. I was a bit worried that the surface may be too slippery, especially when playing competitively online as I usually pick and drop the mouse constantly. I am happy to say that this was not an issue for me as the side indentations of the mouse allowed for a firm grip and control. The button layout is good enough to activate without moving the palm too much. The buttons are clicky and very responsive -even in MOBA games when I madly click all over the place. The wheel moves easily and quietly and clicks in three different ways. I did not experience any miss-clicks as with other similar wheels when scrolling. The mouse glides easily on almost any surface I tried. However, the tracking is where the Kone shines. I conducted speed tests and precision clicking tests and I was rather impressed. At 1khz polling rate and 1ms response, this is certainly made for twitchy gaming. I highly recommend downloading the companion software SWARM from Roccat. This software allows for full optimization of the mouse and can be carried on to any other PC you may want to use this mouse at. From lighting to DPI, to the 25 button assignments and more, there is no setting that cannot be changed to one’s liking. I am very happy with this mouse. The ergonomics, responsiveness, and options (via software), combined with the decent price, makes this an easy product to recommend

============================= >>>>> Bottom Line Up front: <<<<< ============================= The Roccat Kone AIMO RGB Gaming Mouse continues Roccat’s legacy of offering competitively priced gaming focused peripherals that offer some of the best price to performance ratios around. The Kone has exceptionally well implemented RGB, above average ergonomics and a competitive feature set to boot - that should keep it high on your list if your looking for a new gaming focused mouse. =============================================== >>>>> Detailed Observations after a regular usage: <<<<< =============================================== I happen to think Roccat is on solid wining streak with many of their recent products that they have put out lately. The Kone AIMO RGB Gaming mouse is no exception. With the exception of the “keyboard” – the “mouse” is arguably among one of the most used interface devices for people when they use their computers. Needless to say, picking the right mouse is a highly subjective and personal kind of thing in my opinion. That being said – I think the Kone AIMO RGB would make A LOT of people happy if they ended up making it their choice. For starters, I think the physical size and shape of the Kone strikes a nice balance between “Large” & “Small” – essentially the Kone is a solid “Medium” physically in size. I think this shape and fit will work for the majority of folks out there, as it did for me. Personally, I usually use a claw grip 90% of the time and maybe a Palm Grip if I am trying to pull off some sniper style shots where I need total control of my aiming reticule. However, depending on your gaming style and grip method (Palm Grip vs Claw Grip vs Finger tip Grip) – the Kone could work against you if you have smaller hands or primary use a finger tip style grip. The exterior shell has an interesting coating that adds a very minor texture which I think helped to keep locked into the base of my hand. The RGB lighting is very well done in my eyes. The Kone’s RGB lighting sections seems to have a type of plastic that does a decent job of really diffusing the lighting out so that appears bright and blends better than many of the other mice in this space. Its nice to have 5 distinct/independent lighting zones (I love me my RGBs!) versus the typical 1 or 2 colors many others usually sport in the sub $100 space. There is the usual customization of colors and DPI, and polling options that you can modify to your hearts content in the Roccat Swarm software, although the Swarm software itself isn’t particularly the “coolest” or most “easy to use” software on the block. It does it job well enough though on a basic level. I really appreciated the “Easy-Shift” button functions, that helped me facilitate my play style better in my favorite FPS. I like being able to map/shift weapons on my mouse hand as opposed to relying on keyboard binding or shortcuts. The “Owl-Eye” 16000 dpi sensor didn’t skip a beat (and apparently 16000 dpi is the new norm) and I never found my cursor or mouse inputs lagging or not feeling smooth. Oddly, I did feel that the mouse was a little on the “lighter” side – when it came to the overall weight of the mouse itself. Maybe I have been spoiled by mice with customizable weights for more specific fine tuning to your play style – but that is some perhaps Roccat can consider in a newer version later on down the line. All of the Kone’s physical button presses were crisp and responsive over the past week that I’ve been using it. ========================= >>>>> Closing thoughts: <<<<< ========================= As usual Roccat delivered an exception value with the Kone RGB Gaming mouse. The Kone isn’t perfect: its on the Medium/Larger side on the size chart (too big for some), and is also hampered by clunky Swarm software – but does little else to detract from what it has to offer. Thanks to the Kone’s stellar RGB, awesome senor tracking, and solid ergonomics – there really isn’t much to fault it on – especially if the Kone happens to fit your hand size and play style. Definitely don’t pass the Kone RGB up if you’re looking to pick a new wired gaming mouse.

Great mouse, extremely responsive. Thought I was tasking a chance on this mouse, but I'm extremely pleased I did. After having paid hundred of dollars in mice from the big brands and not being happy with them, this is a happy purchase. All functions and buttons are responsive, the mouse fits my hand well with everything in convenient locations. The RGB works well without being overbearing. DPI selection on the fly works seamlessly (great for gaming), and the position sensor works on every surface I've tried to date. Swarm software is very easy to use and works well.

I love the feel and look of this mouse! I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new one. It it larger than the other gaming mice I've used, and it is very comfortable. DPI customization, and lighting adjustments. Endless ways to map the key binds exactly how you would like. Plus if you are someone who is looking for RGB this mouse is excellent in that department as well. I do have to say I caught this on sale. Couldn't pass it up and if you can catch it on a deal definitely go for it.

I like this mouse a lot. The Swarm software is easy to use and highly customizable (however the lighting has limited customization, basically you can only pick from a few presets), it is very comfortable to hold, and the weight feels pretty good. My only small complaint is the mouse click is very loud. Probably the loudest click in a mouse I have heard. I just a small issue, but it can get kind of annoying after a while.

I would give it five stars if it weren't for the fact that my mouse's scroll wheel kind of died on me and now it doesn't function properly. And although this can happen with any mouse due to dust, and junk getting in the sensor or just being defective, I've cleaned mine and nothing has worked to fix it. It started doing this about three months in and it's sad. It's a really amazing mouse and matches the keyboard I got. I love the fact you can change the color to any color you wish with the software. And change the DPI to practically any speed. It's a really good mouse. I just was not lucky enough to get one without a scroll wheel defect. That will teach me to get the protection plan thing that best buys offers that I never get. So I'm going to repurchase one after doing this review, but this time with the protection plan! I can't say this enough. I love this mouse. I wouldn't have still continued to use it for 8 months after the scroll wheel went out if I didn't. If you're looking for an amazing mouse for a good price? this is your mouse!... just get the protection plan... just in case.

Purchased for my son. He loves the colors and the responsiveness of the mouse. He's able to run it at super high DPI settings and it never skips a beat. He is able to exploit certain features of the mouse to increase his slash rate in games. This is not a software hack, but more of a method of clicking that will substantially increase the number of strikes per minute you can achieve. Many mouse gaming techniques are achievable with this mouse. The color customization is pretty good as well.

I'm a big fan of this mouse. The size and shape is great for a palm grip and very comfortable for me. It is heavy (even feels heavier than the first version of the Kone Aimo) but I'm personally ok with it. The cable is a bit stiff so you may want to look into paracording it. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy fps gamers because of the weight but for light gaming and every day use, I think it's a great mouse.
