The ROCCAT Syn Pro Air Wireless is a good mesh between comfort and quality. Let's start with audio. Honestly, this headset sounds terrific. As I navigated through different environments, I felt an adequate level of immersion as I switched between FPS and sports games. It was great being able to focus more on the objective at hand rather than filtering outside noise that seeps in. Even as I played for a lengthy a period of time, the headset was very accommodating to my glasses and didn't cause me to sweat. From hearing myself through playback, the detachable mic sounds very clear, and there was not a distortion to my voice which is a big plus. As far as the build quality, they feel just as great in hand as they do on the head. Unfortunately, this headset does not support Bluetooth technology. It would have been nice not to have been bound to a wireless receiver. Also, I'm disappointed that the Syn Pro does not have full compatibility with the major consoles. Yet, there are many positives to overshadow the negatives. One of the key features to any battery-operated, wireless device is the time it takes to charge and the battery life itself. The rapid charge feature works very nicely. I found myself well please with the charge duration, and how long my battery lasted. Finally, the RGB is the cherry on top for this premium device. It's a nice esthetic that any gamer would enjoy. This headset is a winner.

    The Worst Headset I've Owned

The sound and microphone quality are good enough. The problem is it's 50/50 on whether or not the headset will turn on and connect to my computer. It's been this way since day one. If it fails, it's not as easy as 'just turn it off and on again' because the headset will not turn off. I literally have to restart my computer and try all over again. Also, there's no setting for turning off the lights, so that'll just uselessly eat up the battery whether you'd like it to or not. Literally get any other pair. This is the most expensive headset I've owned and it can't even work out the simple tasks of connecting to its own dongle or turning off.

Hi Anna, thank you for choosing ROCCAT. We are sorry you are facing an issue with our headset. Please be aware that for security reasons the headset's transmitter stops looking for a connection and turns off if it doesn't pair to the headset soon after being turned on by either being connected to a USB port or the PC being started. Therefore, if the headset isn't turned on right after booting up your PC, the transmitter's pairing has to be re-initiated by un- and re-plugging it or by rebooting the PC. However, if this is not the reason for the issues you are having, our support team is always happy to assist you in finding a solution. To make contact, please reach out via the contact form on our official support website. ROCCATSupport

Good sound quality and is reasonably priced goes great with my keyboard. However, I did have an issue setting up the headset as the microphone can only slot in a specific way so the mute switch function works.

Superb Sound and Excellent Battery Life

These are excellent wireless headphones. The sound quality is excellent, with little to no latency and the inclusion of 3D audio definitely gives you an edge while gaming. The battery life is amazing, a full 24 hrs! These have plenty of juice to get you through even the longest grind pull them off the charger and focus on the game! The RGB lighting is Cool. In my opinion, it really doesn't add much to the gaming experience, but definitely adds a bit of flair for those who live stream. Another reviewer mentioned that it would be nice if you could customize the colors or turn them off to conserve the battery. I did some searching and found an app from Roccat that lets you do just that. It can be found on Roccat's support site. https://support.roccat.com/s/downloads?language=en_US&co=en_US. The app is still in Beta, but adds a few enhancements, like an audio equalizer, customizable lighting effects, and various gaming enhancements. I found them quite comfortable, lightweight, and sturdy. And unlike other headsets I've tried, they allowed just enough airflow to keep my ears cool. The only flaw (minor) I could find is the dongle is a little large (1/2") for my taste. Otherwise, these are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a wireless gaming headset!

    High Expectations met with Disappointment

I've never heard of the brand ROCCAT before getting the Syn Pro Air Headset. I checked their website and was really excited to see what it could do based on what was advertised. My normal gaming headset is the Corsair Void Pro Wireless that I've used for almost 2 years, so I was expecting this to be an upgrade with the price and features. First off, pairing with my PC was easy enough. You have to download the Neon software from the ROCCAT website to access settings. It's still in beta, so there have been some issues. The size of the ear cups are on the small side compared to my Void Pros and can feel a little uncomfortable after a few hours of use. Overall the Airs are smaller then what I am comfortable wearing and have a clamping pressure that can be a little too strong. The audio was where I was hoping things would get better, but it just wasn't that great. I first tested them without any of the features enabled, and sound just felt flat, almost as if my ears were plugged. Next I tried them with Superhuman Hearing, 3D Audio, and Game Spatializer, with features on separately and all together. I will say that the Superhuman Hearing was interesting and I was able to hear footsteps and gunshots much better, but the audio was severely degraded. 3D Audio wasn't really that great as well. I turned off those features after a while because they became too distracting. Lastly I tried them with Dolby Atmos under Windows Spatial Audio. When that was turned on, it overrode any Neon features that were set up. The sound quality seemed to get much better then with any of the Neon features on. Really underwhelmed with the audio. As for the mic, I tested it by joining a Discord call and immediately everyone asked if I was on my phone. It was not what I expected, especially for how much this headset retails for. And the Sidetone is not that great. Theres a slider on the Right ear cup that controls the Sidetone volume, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It picks up the smallest noises and every accidental touch to the mic arm. The Syn Pro Air Headset was something I really wanted to like, but after hours of use, there are some flaws with the actual headset and software. Overtime they may get better with firmware updates, but as of now, I cannot recommend them.

I am not very familiar with computers and gaming systems but my granddaughter told me she needed a new pair of gaming headphones. Her old pair were not wireless and she evidently kept rolling over the wires with her chair. She seems extremely pleased with the quality of her new Roccat headphones

    Staying away from Roccat

It was good on the first week but soon had driver problems that lead to losing connection once in awhile and the charge mount doesn't really work and had to waste a lot of time for a sweet spot for it to charge. After owning it for 2 months the right headset slider broke making it loose. Never had a headset problems like this one and should look at other brands.

While the options to alter the audio and mic made this headset very good its poor choice in magerials on the joints made it slowly crack down on of the ears the sivel bolt is metal but all surrounding connections are a brittle cheap plastic and looking at its interior it likely this wasnt just an off shoot chance break my older corsairs had at least enough sense to make bending points durable this one doesn't

      Thanks for your feedback Jack!

It appears that you purchased a ROCCAT headset, which is a branch of the Turtle Beach Corporation that is aimed more at PC peripherals. Unfortunately, Microsoft's Xbox consoles are very specific in regard to what can be used with them and what can't.

As noted on the packaging and within the product description on its product page; this headset does not offer any sort of Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S compatibility. This headset is designed for use with a PC, alongside ROCCAT's software suite which can be used to adjust settings on the headset.

With that being said, if you are looking for a wireless headset that was specifically designed for use with the Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S consoles; you'd want to look a the Turtle Beach (not ROCCAT) headset known as the Stealth 700 GEN 2 for Xbox.

      Thanks! TurtleBeach
