As I saild it is just a cable. I used it to extend my already existing cable. I see no degradation in quality and everything is working fine.

A bit pricey but good overall. Using to run from a wall across the room to my modem on the other side. Long run but signal quality is not lost. Speed test and all that jazz all run perfectly. So yeah I recommend.
