I bought the cable to hook up a TV using a converter box instead of a set top box. It worked and let me vview local channels. My wife said we needed cable, so we ordered another set top box and stopped using the coax which I had purchased.

I've tried other coax cables to connect my antenna to the TV and had problems. With this brand I was able to scan and receive up to 70 channels even after runs of 50 ft. to the TV antenna connection.

Yes, this coax cable is more expensive than the ones you can purchase as Walmart but we have found that Walmart coax cables do not last long. They kink and the inside cable wires crack and do not work effectively
