In order to do so, we needed this coupler to extend the wire from the wall. This worked beautifully, and was much less expensive than calling the cable company for 1 day of service.

It was cheaper than buying a longer cable and I had a few at the house but they weren't the right length. Only downside is that it comes in a pack of two but no big deal.
