But within the little time of owning it the clip that keep the battery in place doesn’t lock down to hold the battery. So I have to manually push it down and hope it stays locked in to charge.

The previous one had finicky battery lock latches so the batteries would not lock all the time on older packs. New version batteries (S) & (X) are good though.

The bad part is that even though they show fully charged, the controller turns off. I guess the fit isn't right.

However it does still work. Anyway so that was my bad.
