Instead, there is a considerable space between the two items with the result that the mount itself shows in that space. Not the look we were looking for. The Geek Team installer said that this is the only mount available for this purpose and this spacing was the best he could do with this mount.

I had to use it without the included washers, or the screws wouldn't reach the threads. It's also difficult to position the soundbar directly below the TV. I ended up having to use zip ties to keep the bar from dropping down and showing a gap under the TV.
