Cheap plastic. Only good for very small surrounds

These are very cheap plastic mounts. The screws never tighten because the plastic is so soft, they become deformed. Difficult to know if you are over-tightening the screws before the plastic deforms. I don’t think they would hold a speaker they are rated for (8 lbs). I bought the Polk Audio Signature S10s (6 lbs) to use as surrounds and these mounts felt too weak to hold them. I ended up using them for my vintage Bose Acoustimass cube satellites in my garage and used my old Definitive Technology ProMount 90 Articulating Wall Mount Brackets that I had on the Bose for the new Polk Audio speakers. Not recommended unless you have small satellite ‘cube’ type speakers.

      Hi Hillstones,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review on our wall mount speakers. We understand how important these speakers are for you, certainly no one wants to worry about their speakers not being secure enough. If you need assistance with the setup feel free to reach out to us, these should definitely be safe to use with 6lbs small speakers.

    Versatile and Customizable

The arm of these brackets is metal. The base and the part that attaches to the speaker are plastic. The arm swivels at the base plate and the point where the speaker attaches. The arm bends 180 degrees. This combination makes it possible to aim your speaker to literally any direction. The base plate attaches to the wall with two screws. The arm can attach to speakers with one, or two screw holes for mounts. The set includes hardware and screws for several common sizes of speaker mounts.

This was the lower cost of the Full motion universal speaker mounts. I had previous RocketFish Products so I figure I would try these speaker mounts. They work as advertised. Solid and I like the lock/ratchet style so you don't have to worry about it changing the pitch on its own over time. Only grip I have is there is no cord pass through for cables. Not a deal breaker a couple small zip ties pulls the speaker wire up and hidden.

They Work Perfectly (w/ a Slight Modification)

I really can't say enough good about this kit. I used it to mount an older set of Infinity TSS-450 speakers to the ceiling in my basement. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is the arms that adjust don't go a full 90 degrees. Probably not a big deal for most folks but in my setup, mounting them from the roof meant the L and R front speakers were pointed more towards the floor than where I wanted. I solved this by taking the arms apart and using a chisel to gently shave off the point that was getting in the way. Hard to tell what I mean by the pictures but when you go to adjust them you'll see what I'm talking about. I only took off about an 1/8" and it's very easy to do, taking all of 5 minutes to do both. But this allowed more articulation and I was able to point the speakers exactly where I wanted. They've been up for about 2 weeks and everything is holding in place right where I put them. But my favorite thing about this kit is the fact that it also allowed me to mount my center speaker as well -- something I never thought was possible. As I mentioned, the TSS-450 is old... a good 15 years old and the center speaker was meant to sit on a shelf or on top of a TV that wasn't flat, so there's no 1/4" 20 thread hole on the back. But what the center speaker DOES have is an adjustable rear foot, allowing it to go up or down. So just for giggles, I unscrewed that all the way out ... and one of the screws in the mounting kit fit!! I had to use an extension to get the clearance I needed but so what. That's what they're there for, right? All in all, this is a great kit with tons of options for any scenario. I highly recommend. Also, check to see if there's an Open Box available. It's 10 bucks cheaper for the exact same thing. : )

The product was purchased to apply with Klipsch Quintet speakers. The product provides adequate speaker adjustment and allow the klipsch speakers to be mounted to the base without modification. Overall good product.

    Screw is too short

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

It comes with a lot of screws but the 8-32 screw is too short. The way the instructions tell you to out it together, the person who designed it must have been on crack. It doesn’t go into the slot it just sits there. Not sturdy at all. Whwn you moubt it the way they tell you it falls. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

Poor quality and does not work as advertised.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have multiple issues with this product: 1. The speaker mounts are advertised to hold speakers up to 8 pounds. The speaker mounts are bending under the weight of my speakers that are about 6 pounds. The weight of my speakers was verified with the manufacturer and double checked on a postal scale. 2. Two of the Five mounts had the threads strip when I was using my fingers and the supplied wrench to tighten the mounting screws. This is due to the low quality plastic used in the mounts. 3. Most of the parts are of a poor quality plastic. I highly doubt that they could safely hold an 8 pound speaker if the mounts are bending under the weight of a 6 pound speaker. 4. Considering the cheap plastic used in this kit, the kit should be $30, not $50. The materials are of similar quality to the cheap speaker mount kits that sell for about $30 on other web sites. 5. After getting the first 2 speakers mounted, I had trouble aiming them where I wanted them to be pointed due to the speaker mounts flexing. 6. I'm considering returning this product. However, I now have the mounting holes drilled into my wall and will need to find other speaker mounts that will cover the holes. Unless you have very small and light speakers, I wouldn't recommend this product.

    Garbage

These may work for small theater in a box speakers, but if you have speakers of substance (Definitive Technology 9040SR) these are less than worthless. They are listed as metal. NOT TRUE. These are resin and flimsy. PASS

    OK mount

These are mounts are okay if you only need your speakers to point straight out or up and down, cannot angle speakers in. Also, I tried these mounts with a 6.6 pound speaker and the speaker "sagged" down. I returned these for definitive mounts.

    Extremely soft screws

The screws included with these speaker mounts are extremely soft. I'm not looking forward to the day I need to remove these mounts because 3 of the 4 screws will need to be drilled out.
