Outstanding...but its reliability is questionable

This kit is what I settled on after ordering two similar kits from Amazon, trying them, and being dissatisfied. And one of them was more expensive.
So then I ordered this one, and right away they felt cheap. Very light, almost no weight to them, but they seemed well designed and I like the volume control on the rear speaker transmitter part of the kit.
Everything connected up easily, and I like that it included speaker wires that were needed. And when I played it, I was very pleased with the quality. It sounded practically as clear as if it had been directly connected, I noticed no hiss or hum or interference of any kind. The signal is very high quality and I was pleased.
However, two days later, out of the blue, the rear speaker transmitter completely stopped syncing with the receiver unit. I tried every possible troubleshooting option and even called their support and they suggested that because I was within the 30 days, to just exchange it at the store.
I contemplated whether to just try yet another unit, but being as happy as I was with the performance I decided to give it another go.
Well, I'm on my second unit now for about four months now, and all is well. It's running great, and I've resorted to not leaving it on 24/7. I try and turn both of the units off every night or when I'm not using them for a while. It's a minor annoyance, and part of the reason I deducted a star, but I'd like to keep them running as long as possible. It would be cool if there was some sort of an auto standby mode, but perhaps that's expecting too much out of something at this price range.
Overall, though, I'm happy and would recommend.

Works surprisingly well for surround speakers. Can't tell the difference from a wired direct connection. Easy to set up. This is the best option for surround sound if you are not able to run speaker wires to the back or if you want to conveniently hide wires for aesthetic purposes. I set it up under my couch directly in line with my receiver for better connectivity.

I upgraded my surround sound system with all new Sony Core speakers. While doing so I decided that I had had enough of seeing wires running around the room baseboards to the rear speakers. I did the research, read a lot of reviews, and decided to give the Rocketfish rear speaker set a chance. I am NOT disappointed and I am very glad I made this purchase. The rear speakers are loud enough and blend real well. No issues with the units pairing as I simply unpacked the units, hooked them up, and presto! Good to go!

Well after many many years of service my old rocketfish wireless rear speaker finally died so it was time for a upgrade and a replacement. I like the new units smaller and with a rear volume control. LOL my super old center channel finally died so I had to get a new one. Well at least it is cyber Monday :)

I doubted this product at the beginning since it is wireless. But so far it is amazing. Sound is clear from the speakers when connected to these. It reduces unwanted wires going from the rear to the front where my receiver is. I plan to get more of these for my other speaker rooms.

I purchased this item so I could setup bookshelf speakers without having to run speaker cables all the way accross the room. It works well. I wish it had an auto off for when i turn the stereo receiver off but it is still great for speaker wireless conmectivity to the home theatre receiver.

I purchased this product in hopes to add rear speakers to my existing ceiling surround sound. The kit works great.
The distance between between the transmitter and receiver is approx. 24ft. I had no interference or static with the sound coming out of the speakers. The setup was very easy.
I decided to return the product as it did not provide enough power to the speakers I wanted to use. It is not Rocketfish’s fault. The advertised wattage is listed in plain sight. I was hoping this would provide a solution without having to attempt to crawl through the attic space, or pulling my carpet up to run wires.
The product works great for its intended purpose. I would recommend to anyone that does not have power hungry speakers.

Perfect Solution For Rear Speaker Challenges

When I purchased my Denon receiver 10 years ago, I was unable to add rear speakers to take advantage of 5.1 surround sound. It was not possible to run speaker cables to the rear speakers. This year, Best Buy recommended the Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit and use radio frequency. This allowed me to mount the rear speakers and connect them to the receiver component. Both the sender and receiver units are small and inconspicuous. The sound is terrific with no interference from outside sources. A perfect solution for me.

I'm super happy with this. Zero lag and it connected right off the bat. The transmitter is behind my TV just on the floor and the receiver is behind the couch. Not one disconnect or problem from it. I should had done this years ago

The Rocketfish wireless rear speaker kit has been around for a few years now. I do not know if there have been any design revisions, but if so, nothing that would be a significant benefit to the consumer.
I incorporated this into my 5.2 system. I don't have the space for side placement, so I placed speakers 4 and 5 to the rear of the room and connected via the Rocketfish. It fired up and synced immediately. I cannot detect any loss in audio quality compared to when I previously had these speakers hardwired and placed in the front far corners of the room. I cannot detect any delay. However, when I set up my system with an option that does not emphasize these speakers as much, I do detect a "hollowness." However, I would never use this option. Just discovered it as I was playing around with the options as a new user.
As pointed out by many other reviewers, the inclusion of the short speaker wires is a waste. I could not even use these if I placed the transmitter right on top of my AVR case. It is a waste of resources and money to include these. Since this device has been around for awhile but the price has not dropped, I consider it a cash cow. It would behoove Rocketfish to listen to their customers and make this a five star product (in my humble opinion) by embarking on a design revision. I know there have been comments regarding the power staying on unless both the transmitter and receiver are turned off at the mechanical switches. Some have suggested having the devices go into sleep mode if there has not been any use for a certain amount of time. Since the transmitter is receiving input from the AVR, there should be a way to do this. Alternatively, a simple remote could be designed to turn off the devices via the remote as well as adjust volume.
All in all, the Rocketfish provides an excellent solution for its intended purpose. I am writing this review after just one day of use, so I will update if I have any issues going forward.

No more ugly speaker wires!

For some time now, I have been deliberating on buying this wireless speaker kit to replace the ugly speaker wiring that runs under the carpet. Reviews have been really good so took the plunge! Takes about 20 minutes to connect the receiver to the speakers and the transmitter to the AMP receiver. Wireless light on both units were flashing briefly and then a rock solid blue led light on both. Success. Sound coming out of rear speakers is perfect.

This powers rear speakers with no noticeable quality or latency differences. It hides “speaker wire” aka 18AWG 1-pair wires; it’s not Bluetooth or WiFi and hopefully you already knew that.
I turn it all the way up and let the signal from my receiver determine the rear volume. It hasn’t once disconnected and does not exhibit any static when there is no signal from the receiver. It’s loud enough but not to the max ability of most bookshelf speakers.

What a great little kit! I wanted wi-fi surround speakers because I didn't want to deal with wires, but I also know the quality isn't the same as wired speakers. THIS little item is the solution! Hooked up my rear speakers to this kit and just ran the speaker wire along the back wall to connect the speakers to the signal receiver. Puuuurrrrfect! Now I have fabulous surround sound without wires running all over my living room!

My installer recommended this unit rather than trying to run wires throughout the entire attic. I was sceptical, but gave it a try. So, instead of multiple runs of wire, we have just one straight shot across the ceiling (rear speaker to rear speaker).
The fidelity is excellent. The boxes are unobtrusive. And there's no discernable audio lag.
A total win. The installers didn't have to crawl all over my hot attic. And I spent $100 to save about $250. Works for me.
