At first glance, Rocketman may be a bit jarring to watch at times because it's not just a biographical film, it's a musical, but that was the point. Elton John has lived an incredible life, and it's only natural that his movie should be exaggerated. Thanks to his timeless musical hits, Elton John takes the viewer on a ride as he deals with his early life, fame, sexuality, drugs, alcoholism, depression, and love. Taron Egerton was meant to play Elton John, and the seeds were already planted if you followed his career so far. Not only was Elton John in the Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Egerton sang I'm Still Standing in Sing. It's just a shame he didn't get nominated for a Oscar. For Steelbook fans, it's worth the extra money. Overall, if you are an Elton John fan, you don't need me to tell you to pick up this film. Rocketman is a feel good movie from start to finish.
