If you're reading this review, you've probably seen Rogue One already and are considering buying the Blu-Ray. So, you already know that it's a great film on it's own, but they intentionally did some things to make it feel a bit less Star Wars than the "canon" films. No opening crawl, no memorable music themes, and a little darker and more serious. As far as the Blu-ray is concerned, it's full of plenty of extras to keep you occupied for hours. If you're a Star Wars fan and you don't have this movie, just push "Add to Cart."

Best so far of the “Star Wars” spinoffs, well done, great 4k

I'm a sucker for Steele books and since this movie isn't in any trilogy, I saw no sense waiting for a box set. The art on it is fantastic and for the release price, I was happy with it. It wasn't till I got to the check out where I saw it was also the 3D version! I own a 3d tv so I was pleased that was included (but didn't influence my decision) It wasn't till I got home when I realized it ALSO had a 4th disc with extra content. It was at that point when I realized I got the full bundle. I am very happy to add this to my collection.

Great special effects. A definite must own if you insist on owning all of the Star Wars movies.

Rogue One looks really good in 4K and HDR. Sound track was pretty good in Dolby Atmos. Recommended buy.

After re-watching Rogue One at home I realized something. I prefer this film to Episode 7, and it is not even close. Rogue One focuses on a great cast, superbly acted, that go through difficult times to accomplish something significant for the rebellion. Other Star Wars movies gloss over too much of the suffering (think giant explosions in the background that people just briefly mention being upset about). The trials faced by the Rogue One crew are overwhelming, and the film does a great job of conveying their sacrifices throughout.

Rogue One is an interesting addition to the Star Wars family. The steel book editions are well worth it. I have many movies in the steel book editions. After seeing how Rogue One was integrated into Star Wars, I am looking forward to future Star Wars Stories like the rumored Obi Wan Kenobi and the Yoda movies. Rogue One is about how the rebellion was able to destroy the first Death Star and the struggles of their spies on the mission to verify and retrieve the Death Star plans, which was crucial to A New Hope. I highly recommend it.

Wasn’t sure whether to upgrade to the 4K version from my regular Blu-ray version. I’m glad I did. Definitely a noticeable difference in picture quality. Looks fantastic. Highly recommend you buy!

The third best Star Wars movie, after Empire and New Hope. Disney was able to get one right.

If you've read the text scroll opening of the original Star Wars, you might have wondered what that 'first major victory against the evil galactic empire' looked like. This is that movie. It doesn't follow any jedi, just regular soldiers who give their lives fighting what appears to be an unstoppable juggernaut of military might and oppression. This is a war movie set within the Star Wars universe. I highly recommend queuing the original movie to watch immediately after the credits roll for this one. It's quite an experience!

This installment, which fits into the Star Wars timeline between episodes 3 and 4, provides another glimpse into the story behind the Death Star. It fully delivers on the action, adventure and special effects that devotees have come to expect of these films. The fact that some characters appear in CGI is barely noticeable, but really sells this film as if it had been filmed in the depicted chronological sequence. I strongly recommend this film - not only to Star Wars fans, but to anyone looking for a great Sci-Fi / adventure film.

I'm a Star Wars Fanatic from the Original Trilogy. The movie was ok, probably the best of the Disney Star Wars films. It was fun. Disc Quality of Movie is top notch and at a Black Friday price of $14.99 How can you go wrong?

To anyone that's already seen this in the theater, I don't have to tell you what a great fun show this is! Disney is proud of this and all the newer Star Wars movies they've been responsible for & they should be because they DEF don't disappoint! As such they charge a premium price for it. Until Cyber Monday I haven't seen this Blu-ray for less than $20 & being the cheap skate that I am I've held off buying it till now. Scored it for $16.99 on CM one day only sale at Best Buy, now I can REALLY enjoy it finally ;-)

I wasn't very impressed with Force Awakens so I approached this movie expecting the same, and I was blown away. This movie feels like it definitely belongs with the original three (IV-VI), and not just because it's a direct story tie-in. I enjoyed this movie way more than Force Awakens, and the steelbook packaging for the copy I bought was very nice too. If you can still get the steelbook and you like that sort of thing, grab it up before it's gone. If you can't, a regular copy of the movie is well worth it for any Star Wars fan.

FYI, this is a review for the actual Bluray and not really for the movie itself. Picture quality is top notch so this makes for a good reference to see what your TV or projector can do.! As for the sound quality, I would say that it's a big improvement over the bass heavy Force Awakens(7/10), but still not a not at the top tier level of movies like Mad Max, BvS, or Jupiter Ascending. . . I would rate Rogue One's sound at a 9/10. Overall this is a great bluray, so if you have a good theater room setup, then I would say buy it!

And here it is, the release of the first "Star Wars Anthology" films on Blu-ray. Looks great and has some interesting interviews about the making of the film. As a Star Wars, Action, or Sci-Fi fan you'll likely find something enjoyable in its viewing. The first "side story" into this long running franchise certainly has all of that. As for the 'story' of this film, without giving anything away, I was half-expecting something unique like a "Mission Impossible" spy movie set within the Star Wars universe, which I would have dug - and apparently this very idea was pitched for Rogue One in the style of a Mini Series where they would have taken more time to flesh out characters. The finished product was alright as well, but not "great." Hence, why I'm giving this film 4 stars or a B+. The action was entertaining, but the story felt hob knobbled together from its reshoots and the characters just aren't that motivating to care a whole lot about compared to Episode IV, V, and VI.

Great movie, it is a fantastic backstory to the New Hope episode. The Vader scenes are incredible in 4K!

I really enjoyed rogue one when he came out and to the movie theaters. I was excited when I heard that they were actually going to release this on 3-D. I made the purchase the day it came out I'm very impressed with the 3-D as well as the battles in space. There are some scenes that are very subtle but for the most part the 3-D is pronounced throughout. I now understand that this disc has run its course and is unavailable at Best Buy stores. If you like the movie and have a 3-D TV you definitely want to pick this up on eBay.
