Disney has done such a great job with Star Wars since they purchased the property several years back. This film tells a compelling story with great action that ties into A New Hope incredibly well. Well worth your time and money!

Okay, so there's not a whole lot going on the standard edition blu-ray but that's like any other standard editon. If you're a true fan of the series, you may want to get the stealbook cover one to complete your resent collection.

If you are even a casual fan of Star Wars, this film is something you need to watch at least five times, so you might as well just go ahead and buy it because it was a perfect fit in the canon and is also simply an enjoyable film

You're either going to buy it because you're addicted to Star Wars, or you don't have any interest anyways. Think Game of Thrones with blasters, as the main characters see a similar to ending to George R.R. Martin's favorites

Excellent addition to canon. I loved characters seen in Episode 4 blended into narrative. Not to mention Tarkington and Bail Organa look like their Episode 4 counterparts. Fills in a major chunk of continuity. Highly recommended.

Great prelude war film whose events lead directly into the beginning of "Star Wars: A New Hope" (the first entry into this epic franchise from a galaxy far away)... A must have- even if you're a fan of the Original Trilogy only!

I had mixed feelings about this movie going into it, but it turned out to be one of the better films so far. The story has an odd pace at the beginning, and some scenes don't seem to add much to the story, but the second half is very well done and ties it all together with the original trilogy. If there was a smoother story progression in the first half, it's possible this would have been my new favorite of the Star Wars films.

I found it a very clever way to do a prequel,,I'm betting it's filled with Details that will be important in future movies...It's Great to have Star Wars back on a regular Basis...."I am one with the Force,The force is with me".

Being that my son and myself are huge Star Wars fans this was an automatic buy the movie itself is not my favorite of them all, however it does give some answers between episodes three and four and anything with Star Wars I'm in

Production values are to Disney levels as you would expect. Since it is a stand alone movie you never get to know the characters like the movies that have been around for 40 years. The Galaxy is familiar so you have to tag along for the ride. You almost expect Hollywood to cash in and try to spin every thing off into a cash machine. Disney look the other road and just gave us a story. If you are a fan its a must see.

Although a stand alone, this Star Wars entry is up there with the best of those films. It is much darker than all the others but that is not a bad thing. You will connect with several of the characters and the story is engaging.

A personal favorite into the Star Wars Saga that focuses solely on the Rebellion against the Empire. Great chemistry between new characters and the feel of the original SW films. Special effects are amazing. Ending is Incredible

We own all the original Star Wars VHS, upgraded to the deluxe DVD sets and this is one is our most recent addition to our Star Wars Collection. One of the best they made, especially if you enjoyed the original series 4, 5 and 6.

This episode literally takes us to areas we've never gone to before. Outstanding on all counts and worth it just to see Darth Vader go berserk! Have the original handy as you're gonna want to watch it immediately after this one.

I like Star Wars. And I like great movies. And this is both. You know it's a good movie when your 5 year old watches it for the first time and screams "Alright!" during a battle scene. Worth watching again. And again. And again.

Since they started making new Star Wars movies this in my mind is the best one so far. It stayed true to the other movies and had a good plot to keep the movie going. It wasn't a feel good movie but heh you now what happens next

I resisted this when it was in the theaters but picked it up on release day because my kids wanted to see it. I thought this was well done an I found that I really enjoyed it. Best Buy always seems to have new releases in stock!

The film itself was truly amazing, and truly set up a New Hope in the best possible way. The Steelbook packaging is a true beauty that should not be passed up. I would easily recommend it as both a great film, and a collectible!

I saw this in the theaters and was equally amazed watching it at home! Great story-line leading up to the opening of Episode 4. It was nice to see how the two movies connected.

Just under Episode IV though since that started this whole thing. The brutality made this movie believable. SPOIL ALERT: The fact that every main character involved in getting the plans died made IV that much more meaningful.
