Of the Star Wars movies made by Disney, this is my favorite by far. One caveat, my disc has a scratch or some sort of defect that causes the movie to freeze on one scene. Check your disc for scratches, and then pop in the disc and turn up the sound.

Rogue One is a nice entry in the Star Wars movie canon. I'm going to focus the review more on the 3D version. 3D is a dying technology at home, but for those who enjoy it, it is admittedly very cool seeing Star Wars in 3D. This is the 2nd Star Wars 3D release, following Force Awakens last year. Movie is great, but this version is really for those people who value the 3D. Side note: the steel book packaging is really quite good, better than I was expecting.

You either like Star Wars movies or you don't. This is far and away the best one since the original trilogy (IV, V, VI) in capturing that sense of wonder, joy, sadness, and fantasy escapism. This is much better than the Force Awakens or the "Prequals" (I, II, III). Reread the first sentence - if you fall into the "like" category - stop reading and click "buy" now. You will have fun. If you don't - stop reading and surf to a movie in a genre you do enjoy.

I remember watching the original Star Wars movies in the theaters as a child. The ending of Rogue One captures much of that magic and for me helps it to rank right up there with the originals. I'm also a fan of actually owning something physical which is why I bought this set. I had owned some different digital content and my local copy was deleted. I attempted to re-download it but the licensing for the provider expired and it was no longer available.

This is not a review of the movie. This is a review of the Blu Ray DVD release and the bonus features. If you already like the movie you are going to pick this one up I am sure. No Directors commentary is my first disappointment. Basically we have one feature called stories cut up into segments. There is also a short feature called Rogue Connections that is fun little fluff piece on some of the easter eggs you might not have noticed while watching the movie. Normally you always get the trailers and deleted scenes...but this time they are absent. Probably because they don't want you making any more comparisons on how different the scenes in the trailers where compared to what we ended up being in the film. What We really want to see is what happened to those scenes and how was the film originally going to be like before the re shoots.

Great flick! I loved how they matched the costumes and sets to look exactly like those from the original "A New Hope" movie, almost like it was filmed back in the 1970s. The action was exciting, and I loved how the ending of the movie would almost seamlessly transition into A New Hope if you watched them back-to-back. A lot of great effects and a healthy amount of violence, but also a good story line: pretty much everything you want in a Star Wars movie.

Great addition to the Star Wars universe. Amazing tie in to the story line.

The case makes the case. An awesome Best Buy exclusive Blu-Ray set that had to be pre-ordered to own, and Best Buy did not disappoint. A Star Wars must own and better than Episode 7 in my opinion. For one brief moment we were reminded the institution that is Darth Vader and the Empire in this womderful side story film. Not for the feint of heart, this movie is not your parents or childhood's Star Wars affair. It is war, it is bleak, it is real. Awesome.

When I saw the trailer and heard the line, "This is a rebellion isn't it? Well I rebel," I thought the whole Star Wars franchise was at risk. Fortunately, the line didn't make it into the final cut. I thought the movie was ok after my first viewing, but after seeing it two more times, I really think it is a great addition to the Star Wars movie collection. Far superior to Episode II and may give the Christmas Special a run for its money j/k

My wife and I had already seen this film in theaters, and we were thoroughly impressed. While I knew that I would purchase it upon release on Blu-Ray, I was unsure that I would enjoy it as much as I did in theaters. I can honestly say that I enjoyed this movie just as much the second time around as I did watching it the first time in theaters. This is truly a must-own movie for every Star Wars fan, as it is a great prequel to the original trilogy!

Love this movie one of the best of the star wars movies

My husband is a die hard fan for Star Wars and was all about seeing it in theaters had a blast but I decided when it was time to get the movie due to it being Star Wars the only way to go is BluRay and the combo pack makes it easy for us to use either DVD or bluray depending too the decide we're using to view it. The movie it's self is a great addition and has a lot of great content for new and old fans. It feels like the halo reach of Star Wars. xD

Love the Star Wars movies and this does not disappoint. Fits well with the story of chapter 4 and sets it up in chilling fashion. Find out how the rebels obtained the Death Star plans through great personal risk and sacrifice. Gives a behind the scenes look at what the rebels were up to while Luke was still a teen who new nothing of the force, and the Empire was secretly constructing a weapon unmatched and unheard of previously to the entire galaxy.

I had been waiting for this film for quite sometime since learning that a separate Star War movie was in the works regarding a band of rebels attempting to steal the plans for the Death Star. I have to say I was not disappointed. The Steel Book Digital copy offered by Best Buy covers all possible recordings including an extensive disc describing each major characters of the film and much of the background in making the of the film. Great experience!

From my perspective, this is the best of all Star Wars movies. Action, humor, engaging characters (especially, the modified imperial hero droid) and a story that builds and feeds directly into "A New Hope." The 4k image is a little dark but a slight boost of HDR helps substantially and the soundtrack, also, needs help with the volume.

By far the best SW film since Disney bought Lucas Films. I actually felt there were stakes. Something that was lacking in the TFA where the antagonist was a little bit too whiny for my taste. I want my bad guys to feel evil. Not like they only got a 3 Series for their 16th bday instead of the 5 that they wanted.

Great movie now available on 4k. Actually I think this was one of the best.

My opinion, second best Star Wars movie. Even better in 4K and Dolby Atmos.
