Let me start by saying that this movie was great even though it "wasn't Episode 7." I heard a lot of people giving it negative feedback since it wasn't part of the main story, and didn't have all the iconic characters (aside from Vader, of course) from the other movies. But this one was awesome in all aspects. Well directed, great story, great characters, and great visual effects. This is a must watch for any Star Wars fan.

What a fantastic movie. I loved ever minute of this film from the story line to the directing of the film. This was a incredible film for Disney to gain the confidence of the true Star Wars fans going forward with spin offs such as the new Han Solo film. With this movie here I look forward to every Star Wars movie made without George Lucas and I never thought I would speak those words in my life. This is a must have period.

When I first heard that they were doing a stand alone film based on the Start Wars franchise, I was very scared. However, after viewing on opening day, I can't say how fantastic and loyal this film is to the series, in fact, if you watch this prior to the original films, you wouldn't believe that this film was made over 25 years later, it's that good. Please, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

AAwesome movie with a great story line, great drama and action

Crystal clear 4k bluray! Loving all of Star Wars on 4k

This move is very good, not great but very good. You can really tell how far CGI has come in recent years. this does a great job of filling some of the plot holes from episode 3-4 and teases at the ruthlessness of the real vader and his abilities. The steelbook is nice and you do need a 3D enabled player to take advantage of the 3D bluray. Nice set for the money if you can get a hold of a copy, these are in high demand.

Picture is top notch on this one. Looks and sounds amazing.

The movie itself wasn't too bad. I kind of missed not seeing the opening crawl that I'd become accustomed to seeing in the other Star Wars movies but I understand why it was omitted. I also felt the Carrie Fisher CGI was done fairly well but the Peter Cushing CGI just didn't look quite right. Good to see that Best Buy was one of two retailers that featured the 3D version of this film in their exclusive offering. I can't say that I was entirely pleased with how the steelbook looked. I would have preferred seeing the poster art featuring the character montage of Jyn, Darth Vader and the other characters being used as the cover art as opposed to seeing death troopers and storm troopers on the front and back of the steelbook, hence my dropping a star from my review..

As a Star Wars fan for over 35 years I thought this edition to the world of star wars was excellent. In my opinion one of the best Star Wars movie that has come out since the original trilogy. Story is well involved but does not get hung up. It also brings back many familiar faces and cameos from the original movie, even though at times the CGI gets too obvious. All in all a great movie and the cast did a very good job.

This movie is an amazing addition to the Star Wars mythos. The fact that this came with the steel book casing makes it that much better. The 3d effects are about what you'd expect for a home movie, nothing spectacular, but nothing disappointing either. If you are a Star Wars fan, this needs to be in your collection. The bonus disk adds that much more extra info that isn't needed, but is very interesting and entertaining.

This is hands down one if the best Star Wars films since The Empire Strikes Back! Rogue One brings us back to the galaxy far, far away and it is nostalgic as if it was our old home. This is an incredible story of heroes who sacrifice everything for freedom even if they don't live to see it. Amazing 4K video and Dolby Atmos sound.

Looks better than Blu-ray. The only star wars movie 4k you need.

I mean really, no one took JarJar seriously so we can forget about that one. This new addition to the Universe is awesome. Great actors, smart story, and finally identifies why the Death Star had a fatal flaw. (Sorry if I gave away the Original story ending). Sucks getting attached to the characters and then losing them (oops there I go again). But what a great movie. Doesn't hurt that my 8 year old loved it too.

Video and audio on this release are amazing! Near reference on both! Sadly almost no extras, didn’t even include the bonus extras from previous retailer exclusives and nothing new

Great addition to the star wars universe! Watched in theater, granted don't want to give anything away and if you don't want any spoilers do not read past this point.... I wish there was a different ending but that's because I like happy endings. Then again - with how it was for Star Wars IV this movie really ties everything together and makes the comment about information gained "at great cost" mean much more.

As a major Star Wars fan with a complete collection of the movies so far, I was glad to make this addition. In the early stages of Rogue One, it seemed not to be up to Star Wars quality, but I stuck with it and am glad I did. It is worthy, and the door is left open for more. For those quarreling about 3D, that's not about the movie. If you don't have a 3D TV or just don't like 3D, there's still BD or DVD to choose from.

One of the best Star Wars movies in recent years. Great prequel.

Rogue One tells the story of Jyn Erso and her associates as they steal the Death Star plans for the Rebel Alliance. While the ending of the film shouldn't be too surprising (sacrifices must be made...) and a couple of CGI performances look a bit off alongside human counterparts, the movie does a good job of keeping viewers guessing and drawing them in until the final scenes. Definitely worth a watch (or two or three)!

I loved this film! If you read the opening crawl of STAR WARS-EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE (1977), then you already know the story. However it's the execution of how the story is done that makes this film worth watching! A beautiful film! It was also refreshing to see the most diversity in casting in a SW film in years. Now it seems like there is a place for everybody in A galaxy far, far away...
