Gareth Edwards produced a great fan film set in the Star Wars universe. For the most part, the aesthetic matches the original trilogy, but it's ending gets away from Edwards, which toes the line of becoming a fan fiction story. It does however succeed in doing what George Lucas hoped to accomplish with the prequels, which was to craft a compelling story out of familiar events. "Rouge One" paints the Rebel Allience in shades of grey, which really puts the war in Star Wars. Pick this one and see what it's like being on the front lines of this galactic war.

If you are a Star Wars fan (especially the original) then you will love this movie. It is great! The casting is excellent and the story fits perfectly in Star Wars universe. It is worth seeing just for the Vader scene alone! Not to mention that is resolves perhaps the biggest plot hole in the franchise.

I really enjoyed watching this movie on my 4K LG OLED T.V let me tell ya that to experience this fine movie, you have got to see it to believe it. The picture actually shows deep blacks and the picture of space is awesome. This is got to be one of the best movie experiences I've seen on this 65"inch tv.

This movie is great. It has ties to Episode 4 and the animated series. The set has everything a fan would want: 3D, BD, DVD and Digital. I have not had a chance to view the bonus disc yet. Everything else is awesome, I like this movie better than The Force Awakens. The collectors box is pretty cool too.

The Star Wars spinoff 'Rogue One' was a very good movie at setting up the original 1977 Episode IV. It was far better than the first two prequels and almost rivals 'The Empire Strikes Back' as the best Star Wars movie made. If you haven't seen it, go see it. If you've seen it once, see it again!!

This movie is not your typical star wars film. This one has a much slower pace. The build up is incredible and I felt like the last 15 minutes were some of the strongest parts of the film. Do not go into this expecting the Skywalker saga. Thus just explains the story before the original Star Wars film.

This movie re-defines what it means to be a Star Wars prequel, it has great fights, awesome visuals and just enough Vader. The easter eggs and insider info is awesome for super-fans. I was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of an entire separate disc for extras, only thing missing is deleted scenes.

In my opinion, this is one of the best movies after the original three. A lot of action a minimum boring talk, the best part is that Michael Bay was not involved so no over exaggerated explosions. Highly recommend this movie. If possible get the steel case edition as it comes with more bonus features.

After a bit of a let down with the "Force awakens", I was glad to see the telling of the story before we meet Luke and the gang. The movie was done with the feel of first (chapter 4 New Hope) no need for overdone CGI aliens as with 90's movies. It also had storm troopers that were able to hit targets.

I found this a great addition to the Star Wars story. Besides the special effects linking the film to *mostly) Episode IV, the storyline provided continuity to the first scenes of Episode IV. What initially looks like a stand-alone does much to explain the back story for the original Star Wars movie.

This movie leads you into the first star wars movie. The acting and action scenes are incredible. Their are familiar characters from the original movie that will catch you by surprise. The ending of the movie leads you into the beginning of 'A New Hope'. The ending of the movie made my eyes watery....

The lead female in this was excellent and her fighting skills were well choreographed for realness. The second upcoming (2018) one in this part of the sequensual trilogy should be really good as well. Note: The studio needs to start producing all the Star Wars movies in 4K-HDR/DOLBY VISION!

This is one of the best Star Wars movies, bar none. The characters are believable and give you a different perspective than the Jedi/Sith centric movies that are part of the main storyline. I hope that Disney/Lucasfilms creates more side stories.

This steelbook edition of Rogue One has all the goodies - Blu-Ray, BR 3D, DVD and an extras disc. It also contains a code for a digital copy of the movie. It's a few dollars more than the standard bluray version and definitely worth it.

This was a great movie. I could relate to this movie because of the way it was done and Told a great story. Color was wonderful. Best Buy got the movie here on time and in good shape. Fast service. I am 66 and don't like to have to go every where to get stuff. Nice to have Best Buy to get stuff from.

Best Star Wars movie to-date in my opinion. It doesn't get overly involved with the Skywalker saga to try to fit in too much, yet takes advantage of enough of the Star Wars Universe to give it the magical touch. It has it's own storyline and feel to it that makes it stand out from the rest as well.

Better than Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Force Awakens. Don't know that they could have made it better. The perfect intro to A New Hope. Maybe add on the delete scene of Luke and Biggs talking that was supposed to be the beginning of A New Hope to the end after the CGI Leia scene.

Such a wonderful way to clear out the bad feelings from the prequel trilogy. Bringing the story back to where it all began in 1977. This is a must have movie in your Star Wars Collection. Although it is a stand alone story it connects directly to A New Hope and will be worth watching again and again.

This is the best Star Wars movie made since the original trilogy. There are a lot of great easter egg moments in the film and was truly made for the fans that saw the original in the theatres 40 years ago. Force Awakens was great, this was better. If you can find the steelbook, the package is great.

First of hopefully many Star Wars movies complimenting the Skywalker Saga. Answers all the questions and refutes all the nay-sayers regarding how the Rebels stole the plans for the first Death Star. Topping it off with a gratuitous fan feast of an ending. A must watch for all Star Wars fans!
